Hi Guys,

Thought I would post my custom build here, pretty much a ground up build, yami 540 engine, powers is, not really sure what it is:) Made it for flatland powder up at my camp, wanted power, long track, comfy, small, and light. At the end of phase 2 it was 400 pounds wet, just knocked 16.4 pounds off it today, and can easily shed another 40-50 pounds by the end of the summer. Here's what I'm doing next:

Timbersled 151 rear susp
151 predator track with 1.25 lugs
float 2 front shocks
aluminum rod hood covered in fabric
removed seat base, raised seat and tank under seat.
steering column moved forward with riser for more comfy standing
taller gears for higher end and lower rpm (60mph currently and screams)

Looking for a timbersled rear suspension - let me know if you have one for sale.

Put all the pics together and made a vid, here it is:

Thanks for looking.

I have seen your vids on youtube, congrats man! She ain't pretty to look at but your sled is amazing, I like how you made everything yourself, you obviously got a good thing going there, can't wait to see future vids and pics of the "next generation".

Scratch another 2.6 pounds! XP seat mod, basically cut the crap out of it. Got rid of the seat base (gas tank) and lost a ton of weight too, custom tank going in that only weighs about 4 pounds.

So I got my 151 x 1.25x 15 camo predator track this week. Weighed in at 46.8 pounds before I started at it.

I cut the nubbs off that I dont use, opened up the closed windows, opened up a set of ports down the middle of the track and removed the track clips.

With all that removed I took just over 4 pounds off the track. I bought light weight track clips that I will put on next week

Love it, I long tracked a Enticer , pipe and porting, not in the same leage as your machine but it goes threw more snow then I thought it would and it has inspired new possible projects. Its alot diff then a modern sled but still a ton of fun just different .
ps. did jaws make the pipe ? twin carbs is a good one for the old 540.

Yes the pipe is made by Jaws, Jaws is also doing to the porting and polishing this week as well. Dual carbs will happen laster this summer. Changing the top sprocket so I get a top speed of about 70mph - which might still be geared a bit too low - but no way to tell unless I try it first.

Engine ported and polished and installed, adjusting steering, making carbon fibre hood this week - should be up and running in a couple of weeks.

Video coming as soon as it is done!

Just made my hood mould, popped the mould of today and cleaning it up - will lay the carbon fibre this friday! Carbon fibre hood - hopefully about 2-4 pounds total.

sweet looking mold!!!! it is sure nice when you can build things and save some $$$$$$$$$$......

Just laid the CF today - will pop the new hood out tomorrow - i have no idea how this will turn out. As long as it is light and strong I will be happy, no more cracking plastic hoods:) And I have enough CF to make another hood or two and a bunch more stuff- I'm gonna CF everything!

Made my carbon fibre hood, turned out ok but have some bubbles, very strong and weighs in at just under 4 pounds - that is about 12 pounds less than stock - maybe even lighter.
