My 2013 Assault BD turbo

Just wanted to post a video of my 2013 Assault Boondocker tutbo. Riding 1500-4000ft, 6psi boost and 10-78 weights. This is not with race fuel or avgas, only 91 non ethanol.

When you run only 91 octane do you just run low boost? Is that the only requirment for running 91 octane?

You are a badass on that sled and carrying another person is awesome. But fawk I pickup my new 13 pro at the end of the month and that looks awfully fun. same set up low pressure 100ll no intercooler for me. Vohk has it, just not ready to ride yet because of an injury

For now im only running low boost, around 6psi, but i havent tried to raise the boost yet, so don't really know where the limit goes, but i will find out.
Sled works great at 6psi and 91 octane, no detonation or misfires at all.



In the future i will propably buy a low comp turbo head and raise the boost even more.

Haha Thanks, fun to hear My girlfriend thinks this is as much fun as me so if she dont mind, i dont mind.

You should look forward to try it! This kot just plain and simple works like a charm, and sled runs great with it. Me and buddy have done two installs so far and they run great. Will do two more in the near future

Nice vid, and some great riding especially two up lol. Sled sounds so responsive for a turbo, sounds like no lag at all.

Around that 40 to 50 second mark in the vid right before your friend got off was that the rev limiter I was hearing? Or something else?

Very good response, almost no lag.

No it wasnt the rev limiter, i know it sound like it but its from the exhaust beeing shortly blocked by snow.
BD forgot to send me the turbo outlet so made my own temporary exhaust while its shipped. See attached picture. View attachment 193324

No intercooler, standard GT2860 Garret and no tial housing.

Yeah, I heard all that too.

Sunvang: The exahust gets plugged when at heavy throttle and good ground speed with the skis in the air?

I think im mistaking. But i know that im not hitting the rev limiter, so dont really know whats that was. Sled still runs awesome!

Nice looks like the sled rips. Needs a coupling suspension to climb anything steep, with that much transfer on fairly flat land she will want come over on anything steep. IMHO

Yeah I know, but here around there isnt really many long and steep hills. So the riding is mostly flatland and some cornice jumping. Had a Pro Rmk last year but there was not really a need for it.
