My '11 motor went down, performance ideas?

My dad took my 2011 RMK STD out to Colorado and I guess he blew the motor. It had around 4300 miles on it when it went, so it was due. Its not back yet so I havent had a chance to tear it apart and see exactly what is wrong, all the dealer he took it to said was that it had very low compression. He said DET came up on the dash. I'm hoping its just a piston with a hole in it. I had it listed for sale and it is no longer for sale. I'm just wondering what anyone thinks I should do to it? I'm really thinking about doing the RKTech 858 big bore, or at minimum put a different head on it. Currently have a BMP Powderlite can that I really like. I don't want to spend a ton of money on it since I'm saving for a house, but still want to ride a badass sled. I'm thinking that some take-off shocks from a Pro and a set of B&M or AirFrame boards are also in order since I've bent 2 sets of stock boards in under 600 miles. Looking for any input the SnoWest Pro-Rider section has to offer. TIA!

Turbo is not an option, I'm from MN and when I drive 1000+ miles to ride I don't want to have to tune a turbo even though it would be soooo much fun

This sled will be set up to ride out west, I'm not going to bother trying to bang ditches on a 155" in no snow. I'd much rather have a badass sled setup for riding the steep n deep.

call jake stewart and he will "entertain" about a good porting and our performance mapping with our vipec standalone ecu and you will pull close to 80 grams of weight and a much better throttle response than oem!!call him: 701-202-6304(north dakota)

thanks

It will be going back together with at minimum a different head. Heard good things about both the RKT head and the PA head. Damages will be assessed and the decision will be made in the comming weeks. Not in a big rush since there is zero snow in MN and I'm not making another trip West this year.

If it helps any I've leaned towards the rk tek drop in kit for my 11 SBA, kinda best of both quality, and power with the kit. I've only got 275miles on it but not wanting to risk anything next riding season. This season is over I think for the most part, im in SE MN so worst ive ever seen.

This is not for the budget minded. Just the ECU is 2 grand FYI. Yes it may have better throttle response but it comes with a very steep cost that has not complete been proven.
