mtx clutch weights

ive searched and been trying to figure out what the gram to rpm ratio is. right now im running mtx 74 gram weights and running about 8000 rpm i wanna bring it down 200 to 300 rpm. how many grams do i add to the tip/middle?

i am running the 74g MTX weights in both my 900s...

i would add 2g to the OUTTER (tip) hole...

I'm running them with 1 gram in the outer hole and can only get 7700 max at 6,000'. I was going to pull that gram out and see what I get, but the snow melted too fast.

I'm running 74g with a blue pink spring and it worked perfect at 10,000 plus elevation. Ran around 7600 rpm

I'd say you're right in the ballpark where you are. My '06 makes it's peak power between 7650 and 7700. If the '05 is similar, I'd be leaving it alone.
