MTNDOO Please build a snowbike with this!!!

If you talk to APT about the future they say that EFI is very expensive and it will come down to who can build the cheapest emission fuel efficient engines.

They also said that the EPA will mandate all fuel systems for power sports will not be able to lose a drop of fuel into the environment which all basic carbs and EFI dont currently meet but the Smarty on the other hand does. Interesting stuff !

I love their research ! Would like to hear about their secret drone stuff lol

Ya, They are currently running applications for the US Military in UAV"s

Turbo 500?

I know very little about building a turbo kit but you guys are making it sound to easy. Will a smartcarb take care of the fueling needs of a turbo? If a smartcarb will fuel it could an oil-less turbo be used? A smartcarb and comp oil-less turbo would be a very simple and light turbo setup.

Yes the Smarty senses the what the engine requires for fuel and delivers it. Its the same reason my 61HP CR requires no change to jetting compared to say a stock mill. It does an excellent job ! The only thing that changes is the metering rod. Most have the 80 from factory. The CR500 is a anomaly and kinda needs a 76 but still runs on the 80 with a slight lean spot at 3/4 throttle.

The throttle response is very good, every bit as good if not better than the Fuel Injection you keep hearing about LOL, and at a fraction of the cost. $375 vs $3500 which is a no brainer. No dumb map to deal with, simple, cost effective !!! My 20 year old CR500 runs miles better than my KTM 300XCW ever did, my cast version will be a god send to that bike !

Other benefits are the atomization of fuel. I believe some guys play with their oil ratios because the Smarty delivers the oil better than a conv carb. There are huge threads on the Smarty on Cafe Husky and KTMTalk and a few others. Good reading !

The worst thing about the Smarty is the availability LOL. The carbs have taken a while to get to market due to vendor issues, especially the cast versions. APT wants perfection. It has been worked out and these issues will go away soon.

APT and Corey do an excellent excellent job of research and passing on true information about their product which is unreal for this type of product. They are passionate motorsports fanatics. When was the last time you got a VP on the phone to talk about past and future products, updates to current product ? Props to them !

PS. Their adjuster really sucked LOL. I will have the new updated one this week to test. Corey tells me its way better !

We have turboed alot of stuff. some worked great some not so great. the turbo 5 that we did had to have a powerjet, rising fuel reg, and fuel pump. yes it work and work dang good. no body ever beat it that i know of. but it was old technology. this smarty is kind of like the old lectron carbs with a little twist. i will be doing some r&d on it and will keep everyone in the loop. might be buying up all the old bikes that we can get our hands on. Ya just never know.

130hp-140 hp 500 running a 2554 turbo. that snowbike will rock the world.... who is first??? it think kit better be me lol :crazy::face-icon-small-hap

How are you providing oil for the turbo? I thought a comp oil-less would be the way to go so you didn't have to deal with the oil issue.

We need to talk some more Brice. :) Corey has played with the Smarty and Boost. He said it being sealed worked perfectly! No signal lines? or use a signal but no supplemental fuel? I didn't quiz him much, we were on other things, but he said Boost and the Smart Carb was super slick!

how about an aerocharger and smart carb on a yz250?? The aerocharger would fix the oiling issues..
If I were to tackle a project like that, any ideas for what kind of results I could expect??
