Mt. St. Helens Marble Mount Please Report?

I don't know about marble but I know on the wakepish side I would save my gas money. The road to the sno park is closed due to slides, but I drove around to ryan lake side and there was more snow last june then there is right now. I rode about a mile of asphalt all together on the way out.

It's looking slim up there now, maybe if the temp drops we will get some more snow it will be worth riding again.

3 Responses from my Craiglist ad asking for a report;

1. "I was there last weekend. Nothing but ice. It really sucked. *supposed* to get a light dusting tonight but it will be at least two weeks before I go back. Save your time and money, don't go."

2. "Hey, I am interested in any info you get about Marble Mountain snowpark. I was up there several weeks ago and it was not that great. Lots of windblown areas above the plains and the trails were pretty hammered. I can only imagine it has gotten worse. Go to this website for a snow depth report for June Lake. http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/nwcc/site?sitenum=553&state=wa "

3. "MAYBE YOU COULD TELL ME THE REPORTS IF YOU GET THEM.FINALLY SAW THE MOUNTAIN FROM WORK TODAY AND IT LOOKS MIGHTY ROCKY.WANT TO RIDE THIS WEEK BUT DOESN'T LOOK VERY PROMISING.Any info would be great.

Hey Man

I was up last Saturday. Not much snow at Marble Mtn. A couple feet at Lahar. A lot of the ‘lava tubes’ are bare due to the heavy snow melt and water runoff. We made it up to the plains, but there are a TON of bare spots. On Saturday the snow was pretty good ‘go anywhere snow’ but not much for powder or anything. A lot of rocks poking out all over. Hope this helps a little bit. I’ll throw in a pic from up the mountain a ways. Good view of the conditions as of Saturday 1.22.11.

Have a good time!
