MPI (Where did Skyler and your customer sevice go)????

Heath,

If you happen to check this.

Thanks for trying. I'm now at Togwotee Mtn Ldg and the snow is flying. Will be in and out depending on how hungry we get. If you feel like checking here the number is (307)-543-2847 Cabin #110. If not I'll ride stock all week and call you when I get back to Colorado next week.

Thanks again for trying.

I had that problem last spring when I bought my SC Apex. Sent my controller in to MPI and first round they said it seemed to check out OK, sent it back to me and I had the same problem. They sent me a new controller and everything was good. This year had the same surging problem as the previous spring and no matter what I did with the adjustments there was no change in the A/F readings or the surging. I sent it in to MPI and paid to have a new one sent to me thinking they would credit me for the bad one but they said it tested good. Now I have two. I paid for a new one and they reprogrammed my old one but would not give me the credit. The reprogrammed one is hanging on my pegboard as a back up. If you want to come through Glenwood Springs I have a spare controller and we could work something out. The new controller works perfect....not sure about the one that they returned to me as good....I have not tried it. Not sure how the test is set up but I have had 2 controllers with the same running issues both tested good...first one definately not good and I have not tried the other one that they say tested good but the new controller solved the running issues.

When running right I really like this sled and I think Mike and Justin have honestly made an effort to take care of me. Not sure I trust their testing equipment for when I am 30 miles from the truck with running issues.

Hey...Thanks a ton for the offer. I didn't check the computer all day. We just made it to Tog and its snowing pretty good. Looks like we beet the weather. Its the best I've seen in 7 years this time of year. 200 sleds parked up front and not much parking left.

Thanks again. I woulda gladly stopped in to get to ride boost.

Alright all...I need to eat one of Yamaha Hats....lol

So I come back from an epic day of snow here at Tog to find a message on my cabin phone. Heath at MPI is the real deal. He is over nighting a new controller for my sled. YES ... you did read that right. Will have it tomorrow in time for the 13'' of addition powder were going to get. I rode today using a Hauck controller not even set for a SC sled. It worked to about 60% efficiency. Had a few peeps try the SCApex and they loved it even while it was running off its A Game. A bunch more took the time to get a photo opp with the monster.

The snow was great, but the best part of the day was talking to Heath. He not only satisfied my controller issue for the best snow I've seen at Togwotee in 7 years, but he's going the extra mile to get us Colorado boys some softwear and a docking station so for next season all you high altitude boys will have access to a new program.

MPI took the time to work with me with Mac in the background on the phone ... definately making that extra effort that you rarely "DO NOT" hear about. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow when I hook up the new controller ... watch out! Robrstopr

Pics and video to follow

Thats good to hear. Like I said before I thought Mike and Jared tried to take care of me and wanted my sled to work as good as possible. Glad to hear that Heath and crew are doing the right thing and setting you up for an epic trip with booost! Have a great one and keep me posted on the high altitude programming they are talking about.

I have to wonder if robrstopr would have gotten the same great customer service if he'd have only phoned them, and not started this thread where dozens of potential MPI customers would read. I hope he would have!

This thread set MPI up for greatness and they took advantage of the opportunity. I hope the "greatness" continues to all their other customers as well!

robrstopr did call. Looks like twice in his first post and who knows how many times last year with the same controller problem. Then he got the run around ie. voided warrenty because of silicone, box corroded more in shipping, until he posted this thread. So yeah, when the heat was on sounds like MPI finally decided to take some action and back up there product for fear of more ppl readin this thread. I hope you got your controller robr and it works for you this time. Wasn't racinstation going to "hook me up and provide the mapping I need for CO elevations." too? I hope you had a great time in Togwotee!

Actually i was made aware of a issue and took care of it. We do not make this controller so if we try to warrenty something that is not covered we have to pay for it. if we made it then it would be a different story

Heath did go out of his way to hook me up. I can only speak for my dealings with MPI. Like I said in my earlier posts...I don't feel I should have to run to Mac for customer service. Heath is exactly like he expresses himself in his posts. You don't have to get Mac to get satisfaction... If you have any issues I reccommend all to call Heath. He's going all out to repair the MPI customer service perceptions.

Highly encouage anyone not getting the answer you think to be right....to ask for Heath. I can't say it enough.

Thanks Heath... It was awesome. Had a damage issue on the last night, but at least I had boost for awhile.

I'll get the controller out this week.
