Moving 07 M8 ported cylinders to 09 M8

I am looking at picking up a new 09 M8. I want to eventually switch the ported cylinders, head and pipe from an 07 over to the new sled. I would think it would be pretty straight forward, but does anyone know of any issues doing this ?

The 07 will have about 3500 miles on it so I was thinking of getting the cylinders replated or at the least re-honed. I was also thinking of putting new rings on the 09 (plan on having some miles on it) when I switch so they will seat better.

Anyone done this ? Thoughts or advice ?

should swap straight over, with the miles i'd say rings and a hone would be plenty. did my top end on my 07 M8 this year with just over 5,000 miles, the cylinders and pistons were almost perfect...
