Mounting a new ski

I am trying to put a set of powder pros on my RMK. I have all of the right pieces. I cant get the bolt completely through the spindle due to the rubber bumper being a little to fat which stops the holes from lining up. Is there a trick I am missing? Should I trim a small amount of the bumper off? Thanks.

I had the same problem putting on a pair of C&A skis. I thought it seemed like the rubber saddle was a little too thick, but I used a phillips screw driver in the hole to pry it while wiggled the front tip of the ski up and down I got it to line up so I could push the bolt the rest of the way through.

Done. I stood on the A arm and that pushed down on the rubber bumper enough to pound the bolt through. Finally! It was pretty easy at that point but completely frustrating the hour before. I am glad I didnt trim the rubber. I think I would have regretted it.

Powder pros on....now its time to figure where I am going this week to get away from the rain.....looks like 5000 feet should get some good snow later this week
