made one of the half pipe runners out of some kind of discarded chromemoly pipe from making sled suspensions, so far really dug up my loading ramp, worked in wet slush, find a hard trail and see next sat.

As someone with no experience in snowmobiles and brand new to snow bikes, (I just made myself a homemade version, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGoW57mBkI8&feature=youtu.be ) I'd like to make some improvements for next year. All these terms are completely foreign to me. What the heck is hyfax? Is there somewhere I can go to read an intro for beginners? I'm sure I'll learn more, but I don't have all day to read posts to connect the references.
The season is over here in central Wisconsin. Now it's just cold.

What the heck is hyfax?

Hyfax is the plastic that keep your track off your rails. It will wear out and need replacing at times. Heat and dry conditions are tough on the HDMW materal.
