Mountain Cat 600 Issues

Hello all! Well the 600 is back in the garage now with a few more problems. I just replaced the stator and for the first 20 minutes of the test ride it rode just fine. Then the bogging started. Unless I eased onto the throttle, the engine would bog like it was flooded. If you ease it to about 5000 rpm you can then mash it and the sled will respond accordingly. I have also noticed that it idles at a lower rpm (like 700) than it should.
On top of that, I just noticed that my primary clutch is not aligned with the secondary clutch. The primary is offset to the outside of the sled a noticable inch or two.

I would put money on the bogging problem being a fuel problem. I have heard that the screens on the fuel rail can get clogged as well as the screen in the fuel pump. After pouring over schematics for hours I can honestly say I cannot seem to locate any screens on the fuel rail. I have also heard that these 2003s have fuel filter. However, I cannot seem to locate a fuel filter either.

Am I just being a bonehead on this one? How do I go about locating potential fuel filters/screens and how do I check them?

off set

if your clutch's are off by an 1" you got big problems, if 2" you might be suiscidal.

Fix that first, cause you can't test a sled with that much twist in your belts n'clutch's.

So efi ???? I would guess, filters are in the tank if I recall, go to cat parts blowup for your model and check, fast and easy.

There are no filters on the fuel rail. The filters are in the tank as part of the intake screens. you can pull them and check them make sure that they flex in and out and are not stuck in the in position.

Haha man was I off! The primary and secondary are only about 1/8" out of alignment. I compared it to my buddies ZR and it was pretty similar. However I could notice a bit more offsetness (word?) on my sled compared to his. Pulled the APVs and gave them a good scrub. Damn were they DIRTY!
How would I go about checking and aligning the clutches? Is it even needed?
Also, will check the intake screens when I go to wrench again.

I was having a similar problem with my 600 MC. Turned out to be the power valves. One of the cables was broken. I guess I didn't clean them up often enough and it was too much drag.

reeds

check your reeds to i heard that can cause a really low idle, mine started backfiring and stuff any problems with that?
