MOTORFIST GEAR Your Thoughts?

We can help out or answer any questions you have.

The owner is on here some of the time. But most of the time you will have to settle for sales reps or sometimes customer service reps like me:) . The owner can't get to it all. But no matter who it is we are here!!!

The cli fix is coming. Some people wanted to be able to bend it into a certain position some wanted it fixed. We are going to settle somewhere in the middle.

I will agree, this is something that bugged me on my Rekons, with that said I don't know of a pant yet that i actually like the gators and hooks. All the ones that have metal I tend to bend, anything with a button I seem to break, and anything with velcro fills with snow and doesn't stick.

I really like the gators on my sidehill bibs. They've never let in any snow, always stay closed and attached to my boot and are easy to do up unlike some others I've had or looked at. But then again I've yet to break the button too. My only complaint about any of my Motorfist gear is with the mid layer pants, the knees have some different material to reinforce them and my knees always feel damp

What is the cli fix?

I have a bunch of MF gear and most of it is going back for warranty though it's still good gear just with some small issues.

Recession Jacket - Love it but zipper hangs up at the top. Warranty claim started and got a loaner extremely quick, next day in Canada is unheard of.

Valkyrie gloves - cuff cinch broke told rep about it at same time as jacket but didn't get loaners, I think he forgot. Not sure what I'm supposed to do about them.

Helmet - Rubber edging at bottom cracked, was told to try gluing it until they had more units in late Feb but glue failed and now the whole ring has come off can still wear the helmet though. Also got sent the new breathbox cause the one that came with it was a joke. They sent me a spare visor as well. Only complaint on the helmet is that the visor comes off the mount really easily. Ie. it's in the up position and I push it down so it catches less wind on the trail if I'm not ridiculously gentle it comes off the middle mount.

WOT gloves - bought them to keep in the pack as backups and the valkyries have been so good that I've never even worn them yet.

On the Valkyrie gloves I would just kindly remind your rep or Motorfist directly. The reason they get your stuff so quick in Canada is probably because they used a third party in canada to get you a warranty. And since they are having to make a couple phone calls to help out sometimes things get lost to Canada. I would just remind them again.

I am positive they still do not have any warranty units for the helmets, but I have been taking care of any warranties that they do have in the helmet lineup. As to the visor are both the plastic clips still on the center mount? We have seen one side break off and make it inevitably easier to unclip. I would in your email about the glove mention that your helmet is still broken and that BLOWN MOTOR can warranty it for you, if they are okay with that. Anything we can do to help we will!!

Did you buy them from Motorfist or from a retailer? If it was from a retailer, they should have included a slip for you to fill out and send in with your tags and receipt for proof of purchase. If it was from Motorfist they should have just came with the package. Either way, im sure I am not tellin ya anything you didn't know. I would PM MFGuy on here as generally the person using that username is Brad Ball, the owner of Motorfist. They will take care of you, I guarantee it, and if they dont and you can prove what you bought I will personally send you a set.

bought from retailer.. No slip. found out about the deal after the fact and I got on here along with a email i recieved. dealer didn't mentioned the promo... I got my tags and will try to find my reciept.. Like the gear, guess we'll see how customer service goes :face-icon-small-win

Hey that's my video!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFaCN-Spr6U

We had fun making that, he wasn't wet at all, except where water blew up and over the edges - I would have thought it would have gone through the front zipper seal but it didn't. Very impressed with the gear so far, we have been driving it to the gear all winter from -50 and worse in the mountains on the east coast and plus 5 and rain which we have been getting too often here this winter.

I deal with many manufacturers of just about everything sled related and I'll tell you - the most important thing is to maintain the guy next door attitude that MotorFist has, I am always chatting it up with them and have been since last summer and it's like talking to a friend from way back every time. Other manufacturers have gone corporate - and we all know what happens when that goes down, the little guy gets left behind.

Well done MotorFist, remember your roots!

Cheers.

Louis

Ya I have been following your guys' youtube channel in the past. It is nice to see somebody putting the gear through its paces!

I have the sidehill pull over and i really like the pull over for a couple reasons, 1. pockets, finally a good pull over with pockets. 2. the cuffs, i like being able to have the jacket seal to my gloves. 3. THE POCKETS, I do however wish there was an inner pocket.

One of my buddies was picked to be a tester and I really do not like the big mountain jacket. I can't get over the height of the collar. It feels like your being choked by the coat. I am not sure who modeled that one, but they had one long neck. It might work well for others, but not for me.

I have really wanted to try the boots, but I have a perfectly good pair and couldn't justify the money for another set.

I have tried the helmet on and was planning on getting one this year, but am using mine for one more season. It fits great. I have no idea about performance.

I might try out my buddies bibs and see how those fit. I am in the market for a new set of bibs. :)

The collar definitely is taller on the big mountain, but some people have actually asked for that. The boots work great, and the helmet has been one of the best selling of the year!! The weight is amazing on it for not being carbon! For us the best seller for bibs has been the reckon. And supriseingly the ones with red stitching have moved better than the stealth, but they seem to work out well for most!
