motorcycle engine............

We did it a year before yamaha had theirs out

ZX 440 race chassis
GSXR 600
custom closed loop fuel injection
dry sump
stub shaft mated onto the crank with another bearing housing
removed entire trans
P-85 bolted onto the stub shaft. regularly saw 12,500 rpm with no issues
cable steering

All fit under the stock hood.

it worked awesome. pulled better than my summit 600 at the time.

motor cycle engine

in one of the mountain mod mania movies there is a guy w/a turbo busa engine in a sled, contact doc zoom he sounded like he new the guy,the electric shifter on a busa works great,i have it on my busa.its a small actuater and a rod to the tranny (shift lever)had air for the drags and switched to elec.install a cog on the end of the drive shaft and brace it at the bulk head.you can double pin it or put a woodruf key in the shaft with a bolt in the middle (axle nut)nothings impossible.wider shaft with bearing on each end, braced, press drivers on ,install cog (sprocket)and let her eat:D .02

Nope, working for a living now. The competition really started going downhill in my opinion. Too many eggheads, not enough sledders and guys thinking outside the box.

Sled met a violent ending. we designed our intake plenum and runners in CAD and built them out of composite. They cracked, she went lean and bang!

It was a large amount of work but we had a great time doing it.
