Motor Mounts

I know the 2011 motor mounts were cracking and bolts breaking, did they remedy it on the 2012? Any changes in this area on the 13's? Who has a story to tell using the engine torque stop to remedy the failures?

They did fix the engine mount problem on the 12's by updating to a larger size bolt. You can buy the upgrade kit from a dealer too. I just put the upgrade kit in my 11, was an easy job just had to remove the clutches and can. As for the engine torque stop I bought the slp one, cheap insurance against belt/motor alignment issues.

How much was your '12 upgrade kit? and do you think its necessary if im planning on doing an slp torque stop?

Think it was $75,comes with bolts and new rubber mounts. The old ones were fine just taking preventative measures. The slp engine mount takes a little to get mounted but once in its another holding point which has to be a good thing long term.
