MOTO TRAX SKI ISSUE I'VE OBSERVED

I've been listening to the talk about the mototrax ski that the carbides are not center don't worry about it because it doesn't matter the ski sucks.I've tried adding metal ect.waste of time I use the Yeti ski that I have made small changes to and love it.As for the rear idler bar that brakes I ordered a piece of tytaniam from tytaniam Joe and got the local machinest to build it right here's a pic.Ps this is on the 3"track that I built for my 2016 mototrax

Can you post some info/pics of how you put this track together?

Please Helico, buy a Timbersled or a Yeti or go back to snowmobiling so we don't have to listen to your accusations anymore.

Everyone gets it. Mototrax has some issues. Most small businesses do especially when bringing a new product to market. Maybe they lied, maybe they didn't do any R&D, who knows. But the free market economy will be the one to determine if they are producing a quality product or not. A company’s fate should live or die by the tirades of a pissed guy making accusations on the internet.

But that fact that you are beating this horse to death is doing nothing more than showing your unprofessionalism, immaturity and personally I wonder what your true motive really is. This thread about the skis seems like a ridiculous accusation and insane attempt to bash these guys.

If you want true transparency let’s get more info about you and your full name and business name.

I have met Randy and been to there small manufacturing shop in Idaho. I got a tour and Randy showed me the set up. I was impressed with how different the set up was from Timbersled at least before the ARO came out. Randy seemed like young guy doing his best do run a small business.

Yes, from all the accounts they have made mistakes but it seems to me they are doing their best to make things right with customers. I want more competition among the snow bike industry not less. Mototrax has some cool ideas and technology in their system and hope they can continue to push the envelope.

I ride a Timbersled and always have. I have owned every model year since 2013. I have broken a sub frame, broken chains, broken an idler wheel, broken a side panel, etc. etc. etc. Some were warranty items some weren't. Some should have been and maybe some should not have.

But I didn't start a new thread demanding a recall when my chain rubbed my frame. I went out and bought a spring and made a better chain tensioner than Timbersled did. I didn't post Alan's first and last name in a public forum and make outlandish accusations demanding a recall because my chains and chain tensioner were complete garbage. I bitched a little then I went out and bought two new chains for my 2016 kit because I didn't want to be stranded in the backcountry. That was a fundamental mistake by Timbersled after six years of production. Keep that in perspective Helico. Mototrax 2017 kit was the first production year of that kit.

It’s time to quiet this madness:heart:

The free market economy has spoken. I have a Moto-trax 129 with 3 rides that is unsellable for 50% of what I paid for it, $2,500. And I'm willing to take that bath just to move on to another manufacturer. Helico is not the exception to the regular Moto-trax experience, he is the norm. 2 of my 3 trail rides have ended with bailing wire and para cord. I love when people who don't own Mototrax's come around to tell the mototrax owners that it isn't as bad as we think.

I have posted my name, looks like your over a month late on this post.
But now that you woke me up here's some pictures of the updated ski saddle I got in Jan you have to modify it to keep the rubber in place.
The others are new 137 and 120 tracks that have been laying around my shop while I work on the 129 track
Your welcome to buy them if you want !

Whats the name of your shop?

Why would you work so hard to destroy the reputation of a product if you are sitting on inventory?

They wouldn't take back because they were installed. Did Timbersled take back any installed kits because they broke a chain? Hell no.

Exactly what I thought about him. Until I owned one...

Now I'm glad Helico pointed some issues out. Has even called me multiple times and helped me work through some problems and told me how to fix them.

Broke a chain.. LOL.. wtf are you even talking about.

Talking about a little more than a broken chain here buddy... get a clue. & mad at Helico for not giving it up? Guess who is the one who brought this topic back to the top of the forum after it had been put to rest? That would be you. Go ahead, keep stirring the pot for us.

One was installed. One is still in its factory shipping. Helico could have made the customer eat it, but instead stepped up where Mototrax should have. It's fun to only pick and choose the posts you want to comment about, but read up on all of them from the start (like us actual Mototrax customers have) so you can be learn-ed when chiming in.

I have read them all that is why I am so sick of reading about Helico's smear campaign every time I log on. It's great for him to help out other Mototrax customers and warn potential customers but things like demanding a Mototrax recall because of his "ski issue", posting Randy's name but not the name of his own shop, etc etc etc. His posts have not all been constructive and helpful by any means.

I am happy to lay this to rest. I don't doubt Helico's integrity I just think he has let his anger toward Mototrax get the best of him.

It's my understanding Mototrax will take back a kit that has NOT been installed.

If you don't like what I post don't go to the posts.

If people got what Mototraxs MARKETED on the internet and public forms there would not be any need for a person like myself to bring awareness and true reviews to the market place.

What are your intensions you seem pro Mototraxs
