I had the same question so I drove up this morning to see for myself. There is about 5 inches behind the gate at the parking lot. There is enough to get out of the parking lot without destroying your sled. I am not sure what is up top but there is enough for a trail ride just to blow off the dust and scratch that itchy thumb

I have been up there the last 3 weekends, you can definitly get out of the parking lot. At the top in some valleys there is about 2- feet. Just NO base. I was diggin up rocks and dirt everywhere. If your down for a road and trail right, its not bad. enought to grab some throttle and get the funny feeling.
