My wife just got a Phazer with e start and reverse. She now wants to ride every weekend.

Please excuse my ignorance,
but what is the difference in mods for a female's machine as opposed to yours or mine?
I'm not trying to be a smart azz here, just asking.
For my wife, I first set her up with good Gortex gear,
then bar risers and the whole handeling set up for her size and all,
and not too much else.
The usual clutching, gearing, and jetting for elevation etc.
She's about to get a can for her birthday to shave a little weight off of it.
Oh ya, she rides an 05 RMK 600 144
E-start
Bingo!!! This is the biggest mistake most guys make and then wonder why the wife does not like to go with you! Why should she wear clothes that you would not even consider as "riding gear" for yourself. Same for the kids. If you are not dry, you are not warm. If you are not warm, you are not happy. As for the sled, My wifes and kids sleds are usually tuned better than mine and get looked at first. They should not be forced to ride anything that you would not be caught dead on. Or even something that you feel is too old school for yourself. Just because their skill level does not meet that of yours, that does not mean that they want feel the same after riding each of the sleds. Trade her sleds for a day and see what happens! She will most likely fall in love with your ride, and you will cus and swear at being on the old iron. Now, good luck getting yours back. I don't blame her. Didn't mean to rant. But I see this all too often. If you want the wife to enjoy it as you do, give her all the tools (gear and sled) that will allow her to do so.
Anyone ever use a left handed throttle? I had one when i was 12 but after that i learned to live with out it but maybe she might find it useful?
