I just opened my C3 package ('13 belt drive) and it had this belt in the box.

Anyone had any experience with this brand of belt?

Read some where, think the cat 1100 form. That belt is stronger then the standard gates belt.

I'm using this belt on my 1100T with a Evolution Powersports Big Chute Turbo. No issues thus far, Kevin @ C3 said it is a much stronger belt then the Gates.

Yeah that's what the manufacturer says. Up to 120 degrees C operating temp compared to Gates 90 degree too.

So it's been out on the snow before and not new this season?

Mitsuboshi

:typing: Although I have no direct experience with the Giga Torque belt specifically I know that Mitsuboshi (Not mitsubishi for those wondering).

Kevin does his homework for sure... and would only choose those things he's confident in.

Looks promising

For those wondering.... I see no indication of a "drop-in"replacement for the Polaris 11mm QuickDrive belt as a Giga Torque GX belt... and being one of Polaris' trusted suppliers, I don't really see this happening for the stock quickdrive as an alternative to the dealer part... But then again, anything is possible :face-icon-small-win

Agree. It will probably be a while before an aftermarket direct replacement belt is produced.

Not sure if it's been used on the Pro RMK yet, as my wife's Pro has a Gates belt. But it has been used on the Cat 800 and 1100 last year, so it isn't brand new or unproven.

I used it last year, was one of the first C3 kits to come with that belt as an option in the fall. I installed it first vs the normal belt with the kit. Not to discount the belt, but I did snap it in half, clean break right across like cut with scissors. I had a bearing blow on my right rear wheel, which allowed slack in the track tension on drive side. I am running a turbo on a13', it was at the top of a long hard chute pull when it snapped, was able to throw sled on side into hill and stick it. A buddy hiked up to me and we drug the sled down( no brakes). I say this not to dis-courage any body from this belt or the C3 Drive, but to relay the importance of proper belt tension that Kevin stresses in his kit instructions. That slight slack that happened when the bearing went was enough to get this belt to balloon if you will and snap when getting back into the throttle.(I believe is what is happening on majority of stock quick drive belts that were breaking, not enough tension to stop this) I replaced the belt, and have ran boosted since with no issues. It is a great belt. I believe that what happened to me would've broken a chain also. The C3 kit is an awesome kit, but check and re-check your belt tension and stay in Kevin's specs that he states for each brand of belt.
