Memorial Weekend

Memorial Day Trip???

Hey I live near New Ulm, MN and would possibly be up for a trip out west. Most years my work keeps me busy from Jan through mid May so it is very seldom I get to go west anymore. But this years large snow amounts have me thinking this might be the way to go. I've always wanted to go on a trip late in the season, just never thought it would be this late, LOL. Could be awesome. I have rode Togwotee the most, but also been to Cooke and Snowies. Keep me posted. What is your timeframe, transportation setup, & lodging ideas?? Thanks.

We'll be riding the high country in CO for sure, pretty much guaranteed to have a ton of snow still.

Snowing all week again up high here.

btw... we're 2 hrs closer than cooke, and 3 hrs closer than towgowtweewo er whutever that place is called.. :D (to faribault that is)

we still have lots of snow up here in Troy MT, the outhouse at the warming hut was still burried yesterday. about 8inches of the vent pipe showing is all.

Sounds like your having some fun out there. So were the roads better then when we went out there? lol

Yeah, we had a good time... soft snow for carving and the sleds climbed like billy goats. there was plenty of wind, but dry roads both ways.

What days are you going? I would maybe entertain the idea of going again... yes it was that great:face-icon-small-coo

We are leaving for Steamboat Springs on Wednesday. Lots of good places to stay in town. Rabbit ears still has snow to the parking lots.

Let me know if you want more info on where to stay. We will be riding probably Sat & Sun.

hey where in washington is that i live in woodland wa.I'm about half hour from marbel mtn snow park.

Just a few miles east of the summit of white pass. It was a good ride for sure. I'm usually camping and wheeling on memorail day.

Several hundred of us get together Memorial Day Weekend in Bend Oregon up by Mt Bachelor. IT'S A BIG TIME...general riding mediocre...racing GOOD...party normally EPIC. Usually you see some very very fast sleds from all over the west. It's a motorhome festival at Dutchman's! Bigfun

Riding this year was FAR from mediocre. Damn GOOD!! :face-icon-small-hap 16" of new snow for our ride on Saturday and hundreds of acres of untracked. :becky: Felt like mid-winter. Drag racing was a hoot, until the storm came in and you couldn't see the end of the track. :face-icon-small-fro I am gonna do that again for sure! Standing around the firepit, in all my gear, while it was snowing, I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that we were three days from JUNE. :faint:
