Melted headlight lens on 2010 RMK600

I was checking over our sleds today and noticed that on both of them there was an area of melted plastic on the headlight lens directly in front of the bulb. I ran them a couple of times this summer so it must have happened then. I don't know why they would have gotten that hot though. As you can see in the picture the plastic has bubbled. It has occurred on both sleds in front of all 4 bulbs. Has anyone else had this happen? You can see the bubbled plastic on the attached pictures. The bulbs are factory and never replaced.

i had the exact same thing happen to me on my 2008 700 Dragon 163, i put a black headlight cover over the headlight just for looks, took it on 1 ride and when i took the cover off i had the exact same melted spots. my machine is mostly stock and had no problems other then that. i ended up changing the stock headlight to a firenice headlight setup which works great.i have had no other melted wires switches or other. not sure if there was a problem or if the firenice headlight fixed it but i have had lots off good miles since that happened. hope this helped
