Son and family went riding out of Coffee Pot Friday in heavy snow, only got as far as Deep Creek overlook and found over 3 feet of powder on Aspens. They rode West Elk Saturday and not as much powder as the east side, crap weather for them both days. Another son and our wife's went up there yesterday, "Sunday". Found deep powder and very few people and great playing in all the powder. Got back towards White Owl lake and my wife said it's to much for me, "She's 71 and going strong" and said you go play and I'll wait and watch. Wind was bad all afternoon with more snow towards evening. Son and I and his wife played in the deep powder till I was about shot, wish I was still able to ride as hard as I did years ago. Saw no evidence of the groomed trail shortly after breaking out on top. Groomer will have his hands full as the strong winds have drifted a lot of snow on trail areas. I know the groomer was Down last week. They are always looking for drivers to groom and I would love to do that if we lived close to Glenwood. We've seen lot's of great powder days up there, but Sunday was as good as it gets. If heading there, drive to mid parking area, saves a lot of riding mud.

PS, watch the tree wells, as deep as I've seen them in years!
