MCXpress vs Impulse

I've dealt with 2 other turbo companies besides Paul at Impulse. Paul knows his stuff. He is clearly dedicated to customer service. I had a stretch last month where I had to get hold of Paul 5 days in a row and everytime he either called me back or emailed me the same day. The kit just flat out rips. With the differences in elevation, fuel, tuning, sled set up boost etc etc etc it is a little hard to say which kit is "better" than another. I truly believe it comes down to customer service and Paul has it mastered. The Prologger from Impulse sure makes changing boost and tuning the sled easy though.

Just my 2 cents.

I've been using MCX kits since '05 and they haven't given me a reason to switch yet. I've also put several on other sleds in that time. Have only seen one controller act up (last year on a Nytro) it had ingested snow and the moisture got in and it was acting up. I sent the controller back and they remapped it and was OK. Ran my sled back to back last year with a front mount with rear gas fill (think it was an Impulse) and saw no reason to change but I wouldn't be surprised if the other guy has an MCX now. The only adjustment I have to make are with a boost controller or wastegate rod (as long as the cotroller is mapped for the boost level you want to go up to) and make sure to run appropriate fuel. New sled is getting MCX again. I don't think there is any junk out there, the competition is good for everyone and ensures they all have a good product or they will not last in the marketplace.
