MCX nytro upgrade kit

I want some info on this.
Can you really run up to 20 lbs on pump gas?
How much is the kit & what do I have to do to install it?
Is it just the programming in the the controller or what.

you can only run ave gas or a race gas/pump gas blend if you run 17 lbs. that's with the head shim that comes with the kit.
if you run 17 lbs on pump gas you will have detonation which can blow the whole bottom end of your engine.

I was told, by the MCX distributor, that the upgrade kit would enable 17 lbs on pump premium at the elevation I'd be riding at (8000'). The claim is 270 or 280 hp. Sounds exciting!

I believe the upgrade is to the 19T turbo which is the upgrade you are talking about. I believe you can run pump up until 15 psi.

forget to run pump gas at more than 15psi......simply impossible since the fuel controller with mcx is just dumping gas and it is not adjusting the timing wich can prevent detonation.
i will know soon with 91 octane gas what is the max psi you can run since my engine will be tested on an engine dyno with a complete autronic SM4 standalone . i run an impulse turbo with headshim.
my personal car is a 1994 supra turbo with 900 h.p. and i was able to run on 91 octane gas ,16 psi with a piggy back fuel controller(like attitude fuel box kinda) now with my complete standalone computer, i can go run the car at 24 psi. soooooo :)) 17 psi with 91 octane MAYBE acheivable but with a complete standalone with a master tuner........but we will soon find out....about 3 weeks.

here is my supra so you can all see what i was taking about

New upgrade DOES NOT INCLUDE A NEW TURBO!

Pump, regulator and reflash that allows you to run 17 lbs on premium.

Got this info yesterday from the MCX dist. in Montana.

I think MCX knows what they are doing so it should be a whicked upgrade.

I have 9.5.1 pistons and two head gaskets and I would not try 17 lbs, on 91. a reflash isn,t going to change your compression, unless they are taking out compression and timing which is going to reduce hp. you are asking for trouble. if they are just reflashing the mcx box then they are just changing fuel for the extra boost. good luck.

Oooooboy, here we go again!!
Several here in Sweden installed the upgrade last spring, and i have run with a couple of them, they run hard, and with ZERO glitches.
The fact: Premium fuel, Fuel preassure regulator, External fuelpump, Reflash of ECU, 17lbs, ~270hp.
The not: 20lbs requires high octane fuel or a PCIII with ignition module, 19T is in the MCX350 kit to the Apex, not the Nytro.

Well there you have it.

As I said before, I can't imagine a company with a reputation like MCX has would offer such an upgrade without having 100% confidence that it will work properly.

"Engines without turbo sucks"

And engines with turbo's blow, LOL.

So with this upgrade how do they allow the premium on 17 psi ? What is different ? Just fuel mapping/timing ? Are they going to release a pump premium apex to 17 psi ??? The Apex cannot run on pump at 17. What is the difference ?
