MCX AIR INTAKE QUESTION

HAVING ISSUES WITH TURBO AIR INTAKE. IT IS CONSTANTLY PLUGGING WITH SNOW AND ICE. IT ONLY TAKES SECONDS AND IT HAS CUT OFF INTAKE SUPPLY- NO BOOST. ANY GOOD SOLUTIONS OUT THERE.

All the MCX nytro kits come with the intake very similiar to the CR style.....it works fine.

Turn Out

I got that same CR style but still freezes up a bit (got the 90 on it also). I know you can run a tunnel dump but before I go there, how does the turn out work on the exhaust? Mine goes straight back, was thinking of turning out away from the tunnel just with a exhaust tip. Has this ben tried and does it help? Don't mean to hijack, may be helpful to the guy who started this also.

we all run tunnel dumps and it is a ton better....all the steam back there causes issues.

Buddy told me today he runs a metal filter houseing with a prefilter like the mcx kit on my nytro but adds a loose second prefilter. I will know after this weekend but he says the loose one moves around a bit and keeps itself clean??

That's exactly what mcx told me to do. The pre filter gets ice on it and clings to the metal. Put the second one on over the top. The 90 hose really helps too.

K&N web site, measure up your filter and search for one that seems about right, the one I got is a bit too big imo but I am going to try it, if too big might get the wife to stich in a dart.
