Mccall going to be ridable?

Hey guys, quick question. We have been doing a mccall trip every year the week after christmas for a long time now. I have a group of 8 who have been planning on going this year on the 26th for about 4 days. They would be happy as long as the trails are ok, like up to bergdorf and stuff. Is it going to be worth it for us to drive down from spokane to stay for 4 days?

Im pretty sure its still rideable!! havent been up there for a while but i have buddys who have been riding up there!
we have astorm coming in next week too

The trails out of the upper Brundage snowmobile parking lot were all freshly groomed as of Wed am 12-21-11. Here's a photo. The riding on the trails is as good as it gets. Once the trails are groomed it really doesn't matter if you have 2 feet or 10 feet, groomed is groomed. Off trail riding is still a bit marginal all-though doable if you are willing to take a chance. Meadow riding and carving is pretty safe, boondocking through the trees can be a bit sketchy depending on the area. It's sounding like the weather trend may change mid next week. We sure are due...

Just up riding yesterday to break in a new sled. The trails are good, but i would not get off the trails at all until there is at least another 2 ft of snow. Its just not worth the risk...in my opinion. If you are a trail rider, you should be happy though :)

Two would work but ten would be better! Great day trip with Tim(bre) yesterday in McCall. Looking forward to a real ride when we get some cover. For sure they have a great start on the trail systems base. We should have a nice access system from here on it as it builds. Come on snow

Most definitely a good day! Just about as good as it can get with such little snow. Perfect for a break-in ride....and hangin' with you guys was even better. Gotta do 'er again..soon!

I'll take the 10 ft! :) Two ft at a time with about 2 sunny cold days in between for us to tear it up, then repeat 5 times...oh wait...i'm dreaming again :)

Cheers!

Thanks Tim. I think you will fit in nicely riding with me and Kelley. We might even bust out the GOODS which you will love! (bring bread because this is a honey hole)

Looks good for next week. I'm heading west for a few days of show and tell. With any luck at all McCall will get dumped on all next week. Makes for a much more entertaining new years!

Good to hear this. We are heading up there Wednesday for a few days and I was starting to wonder.

Tuesday night, Wed, and Thur, the forecast is for possible heavy snow accumulations, so Friday or Sat will be your best days. FYI: Depending on where you ride up there...the avalanche danger could be extreme.

Be careful out there...

Cheers!

Very true!

I really doubt we'll head into areas that we really enjoy when there's plenty of snow. So we'll probably just play around in the trees and meadows and enjoy the hot springs!
