mccall 4m ride

Doug and the guys did a great job last year at brundage res. If that is an option, I'd say go for it. Makes it easier for different level riders to find the right group to go with and there are lots of options in that area.

Love to make so I'll check my calendar. MOCO have your wife call me too and we can talk about the details... ha. and EYE you have to wear a lo-jack to the party. :D (ya there's a story about that too)

Hauler

Hauler 1:10 A.M. WTF? all that bad ridn you did last year keepn U awake?

and EYE you have to wear a lo-jack to the party

LMFAO!!

just let me know what day but i will be in pine for the week of the 17th.

aaahhh come on waldo you know we only tease because we care. haha

so where is SWIM on all this? Haven't seen anything from that thread watcher in awhile. did he head north again?

BTW MOCO you kettle, this is the pot, " you're black." like you should talk. i've been staying up late trying to figure out what stuff i can sell so i can afford to ride this year! Got rid of one sled and one motorcycle, and some sled parts so far. figure that will just about cover a weekend... anybody wanna buy a kid? i'll make ya good deal.

cya, H

my self and 2 other friends were there at the dealer ride in march it was a great time ......i know i would come with enough notice and i might be able to get up some donations for a auction.....

4m ride

Open to all forum members ? if so a buddy and I are planning to be down there around MLK day (& w/e b-4 ) not sure what that day is next yr. ? it was Jan. 21 this yr. (same monday I suppose) if U end up having it at that time prob. see ya there.

yes open to aqnyone who wants to come. jim i will let you know, are you booked that weekend? if not maybe offer a special discount to people staying for the forum ride? thanks

I'm sure we'll be around no matter when it is. Be happy to show up for a quick bite, a little chit chatt'n and to drop a few bills into the donation box before heading out to ride. The Brundage Reservoir spot where Carls Memorial BBQ was held last year is a decent, easy to access spot. At the cabin below Twin would work too. What about Wongs? Easy to find (if you dont already know where it's at) and it would be fun to have a spot to actually be able to see some sleds perform and lots of fun ways to get in and out of there without having to take the main trail in (which would get absolutely worked over and maybe be a pain to bring a BBQ or what ever in/out I suppose). Could a groomer get up there? Be a lot more enticing to show up as well as much more action to be captured on your camera, acs47x, if it was held in a area other than just a meadow or lake.

sarah it could be something like that for sure, we are def. not gonna hang in the meadow all day, lol Heston called me yesterday and thought of an idea. Sort of like an ittenerary, something like meet at brundage res. at 10AM. ride to wongs, slab butte, and so forth, back to lunch at 1 PM. Ride to twin lakes at 2PM, rip there and granite. Meet back at brundage res. at 4 or 5?. something like that. then the next day different areas, cmon people lets her more suggestions and ideas, im sure doung could get a groomer in there. if snow is deep there are a few places i know he could get through the trees.

Sounds fun... right now obligations might take us someplace else but if we are able we'll be there.

Did they get that rock slide cleared out near Brundage?

I guess will have to find another thermal hole for me to fall in, like 10 years ago, McCall forum ride.

Now look at THIS

Duck Lake might be a cool place to have lunch. :) There's some climbing there. And, we know the groomer can get in there.

Thanks, silvertip. I knew I could count on you.

That's a good thought Wade! Probably better than Wongs for accessibility reasons.

Nice thermal hole you found there! They'll getcha good! Looks like it did too!

When?

Anyone nail down a date yet ? should be down around Jan. 17-19 I think that is MLK day (w/e) if it's the third monday. Just a thought but some people get that one off (not me but a buddy's goin down so I'll prob. tag along) so might make a good 3 dayer.

Yha, it was part of the Snowest team building exercise. How do 20 snowesters with loading straps pull a sled out of a hole. Silvertip was the group photographer.

I would like to make this ride. But MLK weekend is the SW Calif. ride. That is if we have any snow. If not I will be in McCall that weekend riding with Wade.

Wade I just love the Pic. What do real sledder do on a bad day. ;)

it is a long long story, but as a guess on my part anything planned for being in the payette drainage will be a better deal then something planned in the salmon river drainage.

i'm pretty sure duck lake and assoc cabin are on the salmon drainage..........

goose lake would be easy, especially below the high water mark.

brundage res is even easier, especially below high water mark where the ride last year was. and, the brundage res is right next to a bathroom.

hint.

hint.
