Saturday ended up being a very good game. For me, the wrong team won! I am a football fanatic and will watch any college football game. After the game Max Hall said the following in his post-game interview....

Regardless of the treatment that his family received at RES last year a LEADER doesn't run off at the mouth like he did after winning close game. He could very easily been sitting with his head in his hands wondering how he lost if the pass hadn't been complete.

Max, for all his grace in other respects, is going to have to learn when to shut up if he's going to keep playing football.

Personally, the dude graduating will be the best thing to happen to BYU in a long time. He has some gawdy numbers in games won....but, his turn overs and poor execution when he has pressure have made him too vulnerable.

That said, if someone had poured beer, spit on, or threatened my family there would be hell to pay! I would hunt them like the pigs that they are! However, to extrapolate that anger and lay it on a whole team, its' fans, and an entire university community is mind blowing to me. I believe his immature and hot headed comments will likely live with him for the rest of his life! He, as a team leader, carried the banner for his team and a university! His words hurt all 3 of them! "Loose lips sink ships!" Gurgle! Gurgle!

I got a big chuckle out of it. Funny how the losing team says that the winners are always classless winners. Should he have said it? Probably not in a news conference, but it's nothing I haven't heard from several of my neighbors (both Utah and BYU fans depending on who is talking).

I saw an interview with Bronco a week or so ago... he said it has taken him 4 years to understand the whole BYU-Utah hype/nastiness/whatever. It really bothered him when he first came to BYU as a head coach but now he said he just figures its part of it to have neighbors taunting each other during rivalry week.

All good fodder for the fire... at least it made for one game for both Utah and BYU that didn't bore me to tears.

Max stooped to the level of his enemy with all this hate talk...interested to see if Bronco will maintain consistency in this and enforce some sort of punishment.. if not BYU has also stooped below the standard they set for themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if Max finds himself cornered behind the creamery in the near future....this rivalry gets more and more interesting every year.

The fact is that BYU beat a rebuilding UofU team with out Asiata and with a freakin freshman QB in OT by 3 points.

Max Hall will be remembered for the rest of his life for his stupid comments. What was he thinking - obviously wasn't, because he is sure backpedaling now. I think Bronco needs to dicipline.

The whole BYU program is a sham. They say Honor, Integrity Blah Blah. Bronco let a player that had a DUI stay on the team for 6 weeks said he didnt know. The kid got busted at a Seven-Eleven in Provo. You can tell me he didnt know. They take church hymns and put the football team promo over them. Its just offensive. If you are not going to live up to what you preach then shut the hell up. I dont care if there was beer spilled and naughty words welcome to the real world.

Remember high on a mountain top a banner is unfurled. That is there promo song. What banner are you unfurling hatred poor sportmanship and shallowness. Lets see Gordon B and Thomas M are both Utah Grads ?

I must admit...I am shocked that any of you support what this douche bag had to say! This is NOT a BYU vs. Utah thing! It is about correctness or not... about being an example to younger athletes (like my son) who read, hear and look up to some of these guys! It appears he is obviously young, hot headed, doesn't handle pressure well, and let his emotions get away at a VERY inopportune time! I will now sit back and see how the BYU football program and its' governing university and conference react????
