Maverick Tracks, worth it or not?

hahah... NO. if you want to come see what one looks like if you ride it in anything but super soft snow, i can show you what it looks like(think balding)

if you ever run over small trees or brush, dont expect to have a full set of lugs for very long! there a decent track for the used $$ if goign going for a 162x16 off an apex, other then that, stay away, they DONT last at all.

Come on guys, its not that bad! I think they are a good "All Around" track on a NON-TURBO sled. My 06 apex has 6500 miles on it and still has the original track on it. It has damage on the inside from running billet wheels that ice up and it has several damaged lugs but none of them rip off down to the cords like you see pictures of the camo extreme's doing. Its been spun over trees and rocks and its still alive. lol Its does need replaced but if I dont get to it this year I will run it the way it is :) Eric

I have 3000kms on my t nytro with a apex track and I think it works pretty good.....and there half the money of an extreme. the 153s arnt the best but the 162's sem to work decent....in our type of snow anyhow.

We used one on an XP and on a Rev. Both seem to work pretty well. Ive heard bad things when you hook them to big power but on NA 800's they seem to be pretty good actually. They seem to hook up in most all conditions from what I have seen.

After I lost a ton of lugs on my camo extreme my M8 came stock with, I got a 153 mav off a nytro! Ran it normal rotation for a while and wasn't bad.. Turned it around and I love it! Trees rock etc and no torn or missing lugs!(1800 miles)!

I have two of them. The one on my modded 02 800 edge I like, good float, traction and braking...no complaints. The other is on my 07 turbo apex....hate it. I'm not a hard rider and don't have a lot of miles on....already the lugs are tearing off. Didn't think much of the performance either, putting an extreme on for this year. Will boil down to the conditions you ride in and the sled you're putting it on. Should be a great deal on a used one out there.

The frist tracks that came out with the yamahas were a lighter duro meter and folded over too easy and lost lugs. The after market tracks were a real good track i ran one on my 900 for a coulple of years and liked it alot. Now have the power claw on my 1000 and cant say i think its much better, it does act more like a crazy carpet coming down hill.

I have ran one on a 05 M7 162 for 4 years now. Great track for this sled. Gets me everywhere. Rode with a 09 m8 last year and was dead even with him. Even out pulled him on a couple of climbs. He was even impressed. But I defiantly can see it failing if there is anymore power added.

I've got one on my M7, it seems to work just fine and I've only got 2 lugs missing in 2000 miles.

Your M8 never came with the camo extreme, stock. Maybe the challenger, but not the extreme.

There is a big performance difference in the two tracks. My XP came stock with the challenger lite (Holes punched) and I switched to the extreme. The performance gains are great! I did nothing to adjust the clutching either. revs never changed a bit.

I ran an extreme on my old KK900 for 3 years with no tearing or ripped paddles.

We nick named the Mav track 'The belt sander' in our riding group. Thats all it does is spin!

If you want the best 'mountain' track. Get an extreme!

Extreme all the way, I ride with Chazzer and I gave my maverick the name belt sander cause it use to spin all over under my Apex. It wasnt bad in the fluff but I prefer the Extreme all around.
