Snow flurries in Northern California ... maybe a big storm to hit Shasta today.

Storm shifted to Southern California.

Suppose to stay cold for at least a week.

Southern storm will be heavy and up to 6 feet in Los Angeles county.

From there ... ?

Next storm with accumulation (>12 inches) in California around 25-26 December and today headed for central/north Mammoth Truckee area.

NOAA is forecasting 2-3 feet of snow at 5000 feet in the next 48 hours 22-23 Dec for Kern / Tulare Sequoia area.

Snowfall diminishes north ... Mammoth expected to get 1 foot next 24 hours.

Los Angeles County .... 1-6 feet !!! with 10 inches of rain for the next 24 hours in city of Los Angeles !

Los Angeles averages 15-20 inches a year.

The bulk of the storm is sliding off shore from Oregon and suppose to break apart and head inland with the bulk of it coming on land Ventura SAnta Barbara Counties
