Massaged the old Edge over the summer...

Figured I need to get one more season out of this 04 before I up grade next season and since the motor is still really good with IndayDan warranty I figured I'll put a little money and time to fix up the chassis. After 5 seasons of severe beatings I stripped it down the the bulkhead and replaced all the bent and broken pieces, there were many. Both footwells were bent up, trailing arm bolts were bent and very hard to get out. PTO motor mount was busted, I could go on and on. Since I had it stripped down I picked up a used cheap set of wider running board inserts from VanAmburg and modified them to work with my better boards. Replaced all the bearing etc. New custom rails from Iceage, new drivers from Avid, mine were rounded down. New 162 x 2.5 Camo, powder coated some parts and put a side wrap on the tunnel. Modified my HPS can to fit better and welded a plate on the bottom to completely plug the exit hole in belly pan. Turned out pretty good IMO. Should be good to go for this winter.

Dang that thing is looking nice, who did the tunnel wrap and how much did that cost you? Glad to see I'm not the only one still working on an edge chassis! That's alot of work to tear that all the way down nice job!

Nice looking horse! The best I have seen in a long time. Grade A+!!

Thanks...Boxster, a company here in Billings called Octane Addictions made the wrap, about $150 bucks, so not too bad.

what did you do to clear the 2.5 paddle?

Bought a set of Avid 7t drivers, moved the suspension back 1", removed rail caps and trim them back about 1" and then grinded some of the plastic of the rails caps. Same setup on my wife's 02' 700 Edge also. There isn't as much room as I would like for snow evacuation but the 2.5 inch lug is so much better of a track, you honestly can't believe the difference in deep snow.

What kind of seat and tanks is that it looks pretty dam good I've been doing work on my 02 edge and was considering making a free style seat out of aluminum but that would look way better then a chunk of metal
