went up to manastash on saturday, no snow at the snopark. from when we unloaded to a mile or so down the trail it was all gravel and dirt, except for a couple patches of snow which we tried to ride on whenever we could. then once we hit some snow the scratchers were down until we started getting near Quartz mountain where there was a little bit of fresh, and on top of quartz there was probably 8"-10" of powder. got in some downhill carves but the snow wasn't deep enough for sidehilling or anything like that. On sunday was at woods and steale, also was riding on gravel until we hit some really icy snow, the trail was the iciest i've ever seen it. no fresh at all, but when we came to a little hillclimb the sun was out and softened up the snow so we were sinking instead of just riding on top of the snow. even though the ride in was horrible, we had a good time once the sun came out and made the snow soft. it wasn't the best but it beats sitting at home.
