Man, we need some snow!!!

That's for sure. You should see my view. The inversion is setting in big time. The Salt Lake Valley is going to look like mud soup. We need a storm to blow it out of here. I feel bad for all you peeps breathing it in. I can no longer see the Great Salt Lake.:face-icon-small-sad

Ah Great. I hope I don't think that I can ride my Dirt Bike across that mud soup, since I'll be all jacked up on Lortabs the next couple days and stuck at home.

Wow, sounds like a party at Ron's house. lol

What happened to make you laid up?

I rode my bike this weekend with 2 other buddies.

The weather was perfect riding weather. Had a great time.

I got a little snow fix last weekend so Iam waiting patiently until it starts dumping again. So as long as the weather is going to stay like this I might as well put a few more miles on the bike.:)

Any one want to ride this week?

I used my leg as a kick stand (at 30 mph) back in Aug while riding AF. Tore my meniscus. Suffered through the season, so now it's time to fix it. Then see what damage I can do during the winter. Ha Ha
I got my sled fix a week ago too. Have to wait 4 more now.

A buddy of mine just called and wanted me to go ride at Knolls this weekend. Anybody ridden there?

I Have a few times. It is a fun place but I think I would rather go to the dunes. Its about the same distance and there is more sand to play on. Knolls has some trails and long flats to open up your bike on though. I go out there with my brother in law because he lives in ogden and is a much shorter drive for him to go there then to the dunes. He crashed a few weeks ago on the top of one of the peaks out there and just about went off the edge. There are some serious sharp rocks out there too. Luckily he only cut his hand up and scraped up his arm and leg. Could have been worse. Good thing he was wearing all the protective gear. No, it really is a fun place to ride though. Don't take a paddle tire. There is not that much sand. If you haven't been there, you should go at leats once. It is a fun place to ride.

I'm not looking to start anything here, but I don't see how anyone can like knolls. There's nothing out there!! There use to be, but now that the government has fenced off all the good places to ride to practice blowing things up, that place sucks. I live in ogden, and I don't think the dunes are any farther than knolls, and the riding is 100 times better. I was down there last weekend, and the weather was perfect. Every time I've been to knolls it has been nothing but dissappointment for me, since the fence went up. Little Sahara is so, so, much better.

i've never been to knolls but ive got some buddies that have, they seem to like it. we went down to little sahara on the 8th and 9th and i dont think ive ever had a funner time at the dunes. nice cool weather so bikes ran awesome and the sand was wet but soft it was kinda weird and awesome at the same time. that was only the second time ive been to little sahara as we usually go north to st. anthony cuz of the heat issue of going south, hate the heat. however after that trip i think were gonna start havin an annual late fall dune trip down south. anyone else down there that weekend?:beer;

p.s. we need snow now, as i declared that the final summer ride and put the bike up.

I've had 2 meniscus tear surgery's - Not fun at all. I did one sledding, helping a buddy get unstuck. Be glad you're getting it fixed before the snow because nothing hurt worse than walking in the snow - ouch. Good luck with it! Should be a fast recovery...

Funny you mention that. That's what I kept envisioning, walking in deep snow. Seems like I'm the rescue guy when it comes to helping everyone. I need to be 100% for this year. It's going to rock........

Thanks Drape

So come on and:

******SNOW******

well I can say that this time last year we did not have as much snow then as we have now. I was not until after Thanksgiving that we got any real dumps. i think we are going to have another banner year. oh, but wait, there's that global warming thing...idiots!

Well I wasn't there on the 8th and 9th, but we went down last Saturday the 15th. It was perfect weather as well. Sand was a little wet still. We had a great time out there and the temperature was perfect. I think we will be taking those fall trips more often as well. Yeah I declared that my last summer ride as well. Bring on the snow!!!!!!:D
