M858 Sno Pro Suspension Setup

Does anyone know what the stock settings are for the Sno Pro with the AC5 shocks is? I didn't mess with mine at all this season as I had other issues I was dealing with but then a few weeks back took a look at where the clickers on the shocks were set. The ski shocks were on the 3 position. The rear shock was on 2 and the mid on 1. Looked in the manual as well as the service manual and could find no mention of stock spring pre-load or shock settings. I'm pretty ignorant with suspension settings and not one of those guys that can make little adjustments and be able to tell what difference it made. It's a far cry better than my 2010 M8 was as it is but I'm betting I'm leaving a lot on the table and want to get it dialed in. I'm a heavy sucker....6'3" and probably pushing 290 fully geared up so I'm sure I should be playing with the spring pre-load.

The stock springs are going to be too soft for you. You can crank the preload up, but small bump compliance will suffer and still won't have enough bottom out resistance. Suspension Proz seem to be putting development into the Cat suspension setups so a call to them would probably be a good play to see what rates you need.

Best advice I could give with spring preload settings is look up the travel numbers in your manual and set sag to 1/4 of the travel up front and 1/4 - 1/3 at the rear bumper. Measured from no weight on the sled (lift sled up to where the skis or track just touch the floor) to on the floor with you on it. I like a balanced setup front to back which usually means if I stand in neutral riding position and jump up and down the front and rear of the sled both move up and down in unison.

Adjust clickers for bottom out resistance when riding after that.
