M8/M10 secondary clunk

I've noticed 2 prior threads concerning the secondary clunk. The last was started in 3/1/'09, but haven't seen any cures posted. This may be old news, but here goes. My riding partner and I do alot of tree riding and we are constantly on & off the throttle. We love are M8's and would continue to ride them inspite of the clunking, but it was getting to be really really annoying. He has a '08 & I have a '09. No notch vs. notched helix with stock orange compression spring w/ shift assist. Both have the same annoying clunk. This is what worked great for us and 5 others that I know of from last year. My friend was offered some weights to try out that were taken out of a Brad Story M7 turbo. These weights had a flat spot about a 1/2" long centered on the rollers with clutch in the fully open position. These weights worked great and the next ride I went on, mine were set up the same way. Same great results. These were the stock type Arctic cam arms. Is there any downside ? Could be , but not for us yet. One guy with a 1150 Cutler on a 900 with the chaincase tried it because secondary [Team ]was a little rough going thru the trees and it smoothed out pretty nice. I'm sure there are other fixes for this because some are saying they haven't noticed this. Wondering if torsion spring set-up might help this? But I'm happy, now I've got to fix the @#* ride then I'll really be happy.
