m8 153 how bad do they push

I have a friend with a 1m mountain cat 144" it drives like a tank
is a newer 07-08 m8 153" be more nimble and steerable or is it gonna push like a bastard

I have a 07 m1000 and it rides just fine. Actually feels quite nimble for a 1000so if the m8 is better than it should be easy to ride.

I am researching:D
I am coming off a 04 prox with a 133 its the newest sled in the pack
and the dealer wont let me test ride cause it is new on his floor I have just heard the more the track the harder to turn

I ride a 07 M8 pushed real bad couldn't turn up a hill untill I install a stablizer for the lower control arm. You can buy all the parts from Arctic cat and weld on some brackets like the F7's have on them.

07 M8 153
2-600 RMK

I have a 08 m8, 153'', it is nimble and sidehills very well, my feeling is you can't go wrong with one of these sleds, you are right those older ones are a handful, 1500 miles and no problems, very reliable sled also. just my opinion, good luck with whatever you get.

the M chassis dont push bad at ALL, they are a tad rocked forward but it will keep the thing from flipping over in a climb.

i rode a few M7s in our pack, and they are really easy to ride, no where near as bad as the king cat in the group, we swap sleds all the time, the king cat is fun in the pow but was really hard for me to ride elsewhere, the M's are fun and easy to ride on any kind of snow, they even handle good on setup crap.

You won't regret it, funnest sled I've ever owned!!:D Had to ride my old 800 rmk the other day to get it out of a bowl for a friend of mine that was borrowing it and couldn't make the climb (just learning) and it suprised me the difference in handling as I hadn't been on it since I got my M. I could never go back!

Wife rides an 06 M7 153. WIFE.. I have M1000 we also had an 05 M7 162.

M7 doesn't push. That was a worry way back in 2003 land as tracks got longer.

M7 turns like a tricycle. Your ability to side hill and then just turn right up the hill will astound you on the M.

What are you gonna use the sled for? If mountains is the answer, then what's the problem? If trails is the answer, then there's lots of better trail sleds than an M8 (M = mountain)

ya, when I first transitioned over from the Mountain Max to the King Cat; It was a bit awkward. There is a lot more mass with the 162, and the sled has a different feel. With the Simmons Skis though, I havent had a bit of problems with pushing.

After a couple of weeks on it I was as comfortable as Paris Hilton in a sex video. Not to take away from any of the other sleds, but I Like the KC...
