M7/M8 Vs. Long tracked 08 sno pro

I'm looking at getting a new sled for next year and am planning on starting annual trips out west every year. Right now i'm debating about buying a 153 M7/M8 sno pro OR buying an 08 sno pro and stretching it to a 141. Just looking for opinions. I plan on jumping quite a bit, but want to be able to tear up the hills also.

The only reason I'm looking at an M7 or M8 is so I can go 153...if i go to a 141 track i'm pretty sure i'll be doing the 08 sno pro. Just wondering which of the 2 sleds (M7/M8 or stretched 08 sno pro) would be better all around. I also will be riding this sled in the UP of MI also.

I second Rprecision that a m7 with a 141" powerclaw would be awesome. The m7 is lighter than the 07 m8. The sno-pro will have issues if you try to long track it, in short it'll be a headache. The 141" is perfect for straddling the short -track long-track divide. Of course that's why they made the Crossfire...

The '08 Snopro wont cut it power wise when you come out west. At 8000 feet that Snopro 600 will feel like a 440! and make it about half way up the mountain!

M8 with a 141" PC would be a hoot! and perform good at 8k and above!
