M7-M8 Turbo Kit

Wow!!!

I promise, if it was me who bought this kit... I'd find this guy! I would make it my goal in life! I mean sure, you get burned sometimes, but holy chit. We buy stuff that we have to freshen up 'cause its used, but this was just criminal. Good for you. Your not gonna give up and get that Turbo dialed. Once you ride a cherry (great running) Turbo (2) stroke... you'll never go back! Good luck.

All I did was post for a friend, he removed kit and did all dealings with guy. He dealt with a shop in New York and that is where kit was shipped, not Russia. Somebody had to reship and I know that the packaging was better than what was pictured. The guy was informed about secondary being junk. There was no oil pump as it was a twisted kit using stock oil injection for pump. The kit was working when removed. If this guy was so pissed why did he not contact my buddy when he received kit. Typical of this site about bashing one sided ness. I have been burned myself many times by this site. Not sorry about leaving sled business one bit. As far as helping friends out I guess that is a bad mistake as well. Personally I quit selling things on forums because it is open invite to people to chime in and not mind their own business. If you guys want to blame me for this and bash me go ahead. I will no longer respond to emails for opinions, help or otherwise. Anyone that knows me doesn't think this way of me. I never received one PM from the buyer in regards to this and only found out when another friend told me about the situation recently. Buyers have a responsibility in a transaction as well. Good bye all and I really don't know if I will be back.

spoon

I have never had any problems with spoon, always straight up on, very easy to talk to with problems with my turbo sled, i think the hole thread is BS. Spoon don't need to go anywhere.

Wow!

Not wanting to get involved in the hole bashing thing here but I know spoon and the sled this turbo came off of, spoon is a straight up guy and I looked at buying the turbo kit in question myself...I know it was new when installed and had very few rides on it before he traded it on a new proclimb8 and removed the kit ( our local dealer wont take turbos on trade...its just that way here) Hate to say it but whatever happened between the time it left his hands and ended up in your...well this is not the same turbo sorry to say.
The one that left from him was in new condition for what it worth...sorry to hear of such a bad experience.

Well anyone who is so "stand up" wouldn't botch something this badly acknowledge it turn and run off pouting with not even the slightest effort to make things right... Anyone who sells chit like this and cannot understand why a guy who spent $2.5K is pissed should be kicked in the teeth them pass it on to his buddy! If he doesn't make good then good riddance.

Attn mods

Perhaps mods should add a disputes section? It could be closed to all except those involved in a dispute and an assigned mod or 3.

For a forum that wants members to pay for the full experience, that forum should protect its members. A dispute section would keep this stuff off the main board until resolved.

If someone is found to be negligent, then it can be aired. Not saying anyone is negligent or not. Just saying those paying to be a member, which includes the 2 in this back and forth -the mods, admins, owners or whatever should have a vested interest in protecting them

I do not pay so maybe that could be one more thing I do not receive. I don't know just spitballing here.

Disputes could be heard and resolved by mods with solutions. Refunds, replacements, bans, public ridicule, etc

Again, I am not commenting on this particular dispute just disputes in general. It just makes the forum look bad having disputes. It could all be truth, it could all be fabricated. Just depends on public perception and a little on reputation. I feel this forum loses a little rep when these things go back and forth with admin/mods trying to help.

Let's say, in this case, it goes to dispute (again only to be viewed by involved parties and assigned mods) and the seller is found negligent(hypothetical). Resolution could be to give new product, return money, etc. if the seller complies dispute resolved.

However, same senario, but seller refuses to settle up, then a ban and public knowledge of the out come posted for all who care to see.

Flip it around and say the buyer is full of crap, then maybe nothing, maybe short term ban. Maybe perm ban if they brought it to the public before the dispute section ie: present case to mod theough pm and ask to be brought to dispute section.

I don't know this just seems a little more solution oriented to me. I feel the forum owes it to its memebers if they promote a swapmeet and they should certainly protect their paying customers.

It is just irrisponsible if the powers that be don't employ someing to this effect.

Sorry about spelling and grammer. Ipad and thumbs makes for lots o mistakes.

Anyone else agree with a dispute section?

Turbo problems

I agree that sellers and buyers should have some sort of protection here. I have never bought anything on line with out having someone or a broker I trust look at the idem before I purchase it.
It could be a reputable business in the area. Anyhow has anyone pointed the finger at the person or broker it was sent to in New York? Perhaps there is something going on here. I just hate to see people make judgments of others with out knowing all the facts. Keep in mind it might be you selling something like this next time that goes overseas...just make sure when you buy or sell on line to protect yourself.
As for shooting the messenger...is it any wonder the accused don't want to be part of the witch hunt. The original owners phone number is posted and if it was me I would be contacting him to get to the bottom of this bs.
Thanks for the last post on positive ways to make buying safer.

^^^^ it would be cool if a mod would take a look at this and respond to my post. I have seen it other times here and on other boards. Especially since these guys are paid members, they should get some benefits other than being able to read more than 75 posts or get a magazine.

Oh well, the best to everyone involved getting this cleared up.

BS

well i can see here just how smart all of you on this thread are if you would look at the second post and see the guy who owns the kit and his home phone number which is actually his real number then you call the guy and straighten it out like real men not like a bunch of real tough guys behind there computers

plus just like spoon said it was listed for a friend, and the only reason I posted was cause i had the pics of the kit, so instead of being little cry baby's why not pick up your phone and call and act like men maybe then the true story will come out instead of everyones 2 bits

Well, that is the story I got when I persoanlly spoke to SPOON. I am the guy that actually bought this turbo kit for Realbass. I made phone calls and asked about condition of the turbo and all the parts. I was assured 1000% that everything is in tip top shape and related this info to Realbass. The box that the **** came in was never opened by me since it was a big box that was already well packed and it still needed to be shipped to the other side of the world.

After Realbass received the box I have tried to call this seller and left a few messages with his wife and on his phone but never got any responses.

I don't know Spoon personally but I can say that whoever sold this **** is a crook and a criminal. If its Spoons friend then he should speak to him and get at least some money back. Otherwise its still his reputation. I know its a lot easier to say it wasn't my fault and I will not be commenting on these responses.

THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT! IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT THEN GET YOUR FRIEND (if he is still your friend :frown::eek:) TO PART WITH AT LEAST PART OF THE MONEY THAT YOU GUYS pretty much stole from me and Realbass.

TTT. Mods please read my post number 28. Mods should be proactive on this board. Again, I am not assuming any particular individual is responsible here. Nor am I placing blame or trying to get involved in this particular disagreement.

What I would like to see is mods/owners/Admins take some action here or for future issues.

This particular sale gone bad seems a little convoluted. Just curious for some clarification. It sounds as though there is a seller, a selling broker, a buyer, and a buying broker. Is this correct? I do not lnow anything about this, but it seems like there might be a few more bodies involved? Just curious, not trying to stir any pot.

Again, I hope this all gets worked out in the best interest of everyone. Terrible to see something like this in our community. Sledders are usually solid folks that are willing to help.

Best to all of you

Well I looked into this on my end and I was told by the owner you were told all about its running condition. I was in the understanding it was in good shape and I seen it on the sled running at the time I looked at buying it. I am in no way going to say what shape you received it in or what shape it was in after I seen it but if this is the junk that was sent to you then I agree you should be compensated in some way if you were told it was in good shape.
Speaking for myself I am in know way involved in this deal and I shared my thoughts on the matter with the owner. I hope you can contact him as posted by spoon and moochy and come to some agreement.
Like I said earlier don't judge or point fingers unless you know all the facts...I perhaps should take my own advice.
Happy new year to all!

Falconlion, I never spoke to anyone regarding kit. You spoke to Jessy. Call him if you want answers. He is willing to talk to you about it. You obviously like the poor me, look what they did to me attitude. There was a missed call on his display from New York once after he shipped kit with no message and no calls after that. If it was me and felt I got screwed I would have tried harder than that to get hold of somebody. I also did not start this thread I just provided more info on how to get hold of someone selling a kit. I had nothing to gain. No one tried to get hold of me regarding kit and now I am the bad guy. Forums are the best. :face-icon-small-dis

Spoon, I am sorry I thought you are Jessy. My apologies. I will try to get in touch with him again.

To clarify again. I got what realbass got. In other words the whole kit was f*ed up. I do this for realbass all the time and that was the only time the deal went bad. As per Spoon message I will try again to get in touch with Jessy.

Did the turbo lose a bearing and that's how the fins got mangled up?? Man I feel for ya...I had a sick feeling in my stomach when I read this. I'm always skeptical on buying parts sight unseen, but I also like to think that the user's on this forum are honest with one another. After all, WE are the one's who benefit from this site!! Sorry to hear about this man.

yep...one thing for sure....it was not realbass's fault...and he posted the crap he got along time ago,and all the players were aware.

sooooo...why was it the purchasers sole responsibility to get ahold of who ever..??
if the sellers were stand up guys they would have contacted the purchaser about 36 posts back and six months ago..
