M6 tach won't work

I put a tach on my sled (it didn't have one when I bought it) anyway it doesn't light up or do anything. My headlights work but that's it. I've tried two tach and still nothing. Any ideas out there? It's an 08 m6

doesn't work on my 600 but ovs told me that it wouldn't work a head of time.

What kind of tach are your trying to hook up? Most tachs for sleds(avenger, etc) work off of the power/lighting coil pulses.

When Cat used a DC power/lighting circuit on those 07-08 years, they started to use a tach signal off of the ECU(purple wire), because DC has no pulses for the typical tach to read. You should be able to find a speedo tach from that era sled and plug it right in.

The old avengers also had a separate tach input from the power input........just needed a specific three wire connector to separate them. I would bet Digitrons prolly are similar.

Tony is right, on my m7 the digatron is hooked through the lighting or accessory plug. Either way it is AC.

Youll prolly need to look at your hood wiring harness. Its obviously plugged in to the main harness for the headlights to work. You might check the pins in the connectors to see if there are any loose, bent or missing. If the whole gauge doesnt light up then its prolly the main feed (pos or neg) into the hood harness.
