M1100T v.s Nytro Turbo...........

I`m wondering if anyone has had a chance to compare there M1100T against the Nytros that are turboed with the 240 kit................ is there a big difference in the two as far as power and weight and performance.

anybody know ???

Compare

If this helps I own a 1100T with Hijacker 2.0 and Nytro McXpress with 270 kit. The sleds are not even in the same catagory. The Nytro crushes the 1100T on the bottom, middle and Topend as far as power and climbing ability. The 1100T handling is far superior than the Nytro though. Depending on what type of riding you do, The nytro for the steep and deep and the 1100T works great in the trees and tech riding. 1100T is quite a bit better on the trail as well. I should also mention that the Nytro has a 2.5 camo exstream as well, but it wouldnt make a difference if they had the same track the Nytro would still blow it away.

The 1100T is more comparable to the Nytro 180 kit my buddy has. With the Hijacker you can highmark it, but not by much. Nytro still has better bottom and mid range though. 1100T still handles better.

All in all IMO I think its the type of riding you do that determines which is better.

Just my .02:face-icon-small-hap

thanks toony for your response......

can i ask you how much tuning is required for the nytro ??
are you always messing with it or is it pull and go ??

Tuning

This will be my fourth year on my 270 Nytro....0 tuning as far as the engine goes. All I have done is change the oil. McXpress is as good as it gets for turbo systems. The only tuning I had to do was clutching. That was only a couple of days with some different profile weights, springs and a shockwave helix and it was done.:face-icon-small-coo

I have not touched my Nytro in 3 years as far as breakdowns, and I have never got less than 1000 kms on a stock Yamaha belt.:face-icon-small-win

Not overly impressed with the 1100T, other than the handling. Will probably buy another new Nytro next year and turbo it again.:peace:

thanks again toony............ your feedback is much appreciated.

does the 270 kit run on pump or race fuel........... whats your mixture??

Straight pump 91 or higher

Is that what the kit allows with the option of race.... not that i would run race fuel,,,,, i would prefer pump gas just curious if that is an option or the kit is designed for 91 or higher?

Do you still have stock everything else..... like the tunnel ?

Why do people upgrade the tunnel.... just for looks ?

sorry for all the questions but you seem to be the one to ask :face-icon-small-hap

Are the 270 rear mount ?

They are Rear mount

Do you still have stock everything else..... like the tunnel ?

Built a tunnel extention last year because I changed to a 174.
I run a Timbersled rear susp.
Mountain mod seat
Under tunnel exhaust
Gen II simons
Rat sled running boards...etc.:peace:

Shi##y runnig boards. IMO

No prob:face-icon-small-hap:D

So the 270 kit is designed to run pump gas?

why did you change the exhaust ? What does the kit offer for exhaust system?

Are the running boards changable without changing the tunnel ?

Will the stock skid work or do you need to upgrade like you did ?

thanks again.....

Toony, I'm curious. You said the 1100T was far superior in the handling department, but you will probably buy another Nytro next year and turbo it. Why not put a bigger turbo on the 1100T? Seems like you would get the best of both worlds that way.

The kit is designed to run pump gas yes.:high5:

Kit offers exhaust out the same point as factory, but the it is a PITA to haul fuel. Running the exhaust into the tunnel keeps it clean up on top and easy to haul fuel...Sounds good too.:face-icon-small-coo

Running boards are changable with stock tunnel. You have to cut the old ones off.

Stock skid on the Nytro is horrible for climbing. Works OK for the everyday ride. But Timber also knocks off about 20 lbs.

Okay i`m sure your getting annoyed with me by this point but i do have a couple of more questions and really value your input.....

is the exhaust in the tunnel a conversion kit that can be purchased or something that has to be designed and fab`d ??

what did the skid cost you...... roughly.?

is there anything else that you could reccomend for a turbo
build on a nytro and does this thing drink the gas

Tuning is my issue with the 1100T so far. Maybe I will get it so I don't have to touch it anymore, but right now it is a learning curve. Not all bad though. Next weekend I will have better luck tuning because I finnaly got my shockwave helix and weights I want in.

The Nytro has been turn key since I put the turbo on and clutched it. No A/F gauge or anything. Just boost gauge and Fuel press.( Just for piece of mind):face-icon-small-win

A bigger turbo I feel on the 1100T is going to make the bottom end response worse and there for not that fun to ride. I might be wrong, but ussually this is the case with a bigger turbo I have found.

Sorry, But until I have better luck with the AC I'm probably switching back.

BTW I bought a M8 PC as well for the wife. 320 kms and I havent opened the hood to even check the belt.

I fabbed my own:face-icon-small-winBut CR Racing has a kit you can buy.

Skid with 174 Ice age rails was 2100 can.

Best fuel milage I have had on a sled.
Put a rollover tether valve on. That way if you roll it over it closes a valve and oil doesnt run out all over. You can buy them From MPI or E+S motorsports in Edmonton.

Ill post some pics tonight when I get home.

Awesome thanks so much for this info..........

did you get the skid with the idlers and shocks etc.......

Skinz A Arms will make a Nytro handle almost identical to the M1100T....

I was one of the test pilots on the Skinz A-Arms...it is SHOCKING what they do...

Had a T-Nytro for 3-4 years...and now have a M1100T...Toony's comments are spot on...

I actually am looking into getting a set right now. Just maybe going to wait on the 2013 Nytro to see if anything changes.
I love the Nytro, just doesnt handle as good as I would like it to.

The 1100T is a good sled, and I do like it...But the engine is not even compairable to the Nytro.:nono: IMO. Maybe I'll get it tuned a little better and change my mind.....Hopfully:thumb:
