M1100 Turbo in the trees..........

I have done the Turbo upgrade on mine, 2.5 camo extreme, post forward kit, and SLP Powder pro ski's, i really enjoyed tree riding it, the Ski's are a must tho, the stock tooth picks are not the ski's to run on these machines, night and day difference IMO. As for throttle they are just like any turbo, keep em spooling and away you go. Totally different throttle applications than a 2smoker. Either way smash that pow!! :canada:

what all is involved with the turbo upgrade and what benefits come of it and does it cost an arm and leg or just an arm :face-icon-small-hap

Turbo upgrade is like $3400. More power per lb of boost. Bigger turbo will flow enough to make big power at elevation where stock will not.

Have to know how to setup the sleds and then you have to know how to ride. These sleds are nimble but, it is easy to let the sled ride you. These sleds are not for everyone and that is just how it is. I have a 800 and it dives just like the 1100t. The suspension needs to be adjusted and I don't think much of the factory ski.

I was in the horns, this thing is a beast, onceu learn the throttle it's ok in the trees, but new skis will be on the way as soon as I decide what to buy

1100t

One other thing there is no belly pan on it, my cat dealer said they make an aftermarket one, im going to put one on and wider skis and a lighter can and that should help alot, the power is great its the nose diving thats the shi:face-icon-small-sads, im hoping this will do it.

Let 'er dive....

At least you're going down hill and shouldn't get stuck. If you put wider skis on you will have more trouble on a sidehill.

The front will sink so bad that I was hitting rocks under the snow that nobody else in my group were hitting,it is very unnerving to go down steep descents like the front end is a submarine. Other than the front end dive I love the sled. The ride on the trails is great, once I figured out the correct foot position it rolls over very nicely and will hold about any line I tried. And when pointed up hill it is just up to you how fast you go over the top because in the snow we were in it would accelerate all the way up

so the problem only seems to be the diving.......... whats gonna be the fix i wonder.... wider skis don`t seem to be helping enough.....
i wonder if the 800`s are acting the same....

how much powder were you in....

Well I gotta think wider skis will help, I know the thing isn't going to float the front like pro rmk because it's a lot heavier on the front end. I am not a great mountain rider and need every advantage I can get. My riding bud has a high country and his doesnt dive nearly as bad so it's gotto be from the extra 80 lbs on the same narrow *** skis, right?

if you want wide that side hill, cut one side of the simmons 2s off, the opposite side of each ski and put the cut sides on the outside of the sled and the wide side inside. Its like the old side hill skis polaris made but very wide.

If you know how to ride (not just type that you can) you will be aok with the 1100t in the trees. We have 3 with challenger extreme tracks light batts and straight pipes. What I love is the power that is on tap, if you are getting in a sticky spot you have 55mph of track speed instantly to pull through. If you are novice or in bad shape buy an rmk pro lite and easy to ride.

Friends an asset when you do get stuck though.

The nose dive thing I have not seen floats just fine.

Totally agree, add some slp powder pros and sled should rock n roll. Very pleased with mine, like it better every time I ride it, have 200 miles on it already.

Good to hear....

I will be first too admit I am no chris burant, but for this sled to have the narrow little skis it comes with is just stupid. I can't decide which skis to get, I will not buy Simmons as I hate the two carbide design, so powder pros, sly dogs, or c&a mt extreme? Price doesn't matter I want the best overall ski

so the hype of it feeling nimble because of the extra hp is non existint.......

still a 4s and feels like a 4s is that the outcome.....

Arctic Cat has figured out how to make a fairly heavy sled feel light. The 1100t feels lighter than my M1000. I also rode my daughters M7 the other day and the 1100T rolls up on its side easier than it if you can believe it.
