M1000 v force reeds?

i have a 07 m1000 i just bought, it has vforce reeds. how often do i need to change the reeds? i've read on a few threads that people have had problems. any input would be great. thanx, Tony

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's a one time thing until they really wear down and you gotta replace the entire set again but thats another 300 bucks. I just put them in my m7 but haven't ridden yet.

I had set in a 900 Polaris. 2000 miles no Problems. They are like any engine related part.They need to be inspected for problems. On V-Force reeds you can get replacement Pedals . KSH

my first set in my 2000 600 still good at 4000 miles,2nd set in my 900 ran 2 years still like new

I had them on a 900 Cat - checked them at 2500 miles while I was replacing pistons and still looked new.
