M1000 giving me a headache. BOGGING

Got the Diamond drive back together and went out today. Sled normally run on 87 octane tried 91 no change still bogs the same. Unplugged the throttle switch still bogged.
Had to restart it several times as it would just idle down and die. Barometric tube is clear. Last but not least pulled on starter cord and it would not retract must have busted the spring. I'm thinking I have a canidate for a little TNT!!!!
Going to try removing the attitude bog next and trying the suggestion of raising the fuel pressure up. I have it at 45 psi at 2000 rpm at 8000' at 9500'-10000' it is 41 psi at 2000 rpm.
Anybody running a 1000 with SLP exhaust and a pressure reg. only? If so what pressure are you running?

mine too

getting tired of flying over the handlebars. sled has got a bad case of the comes and goeseys. runs for ten minutes and then shuts off. first time it has happened in 800 miles.

I was told to look for condensation in the throttle safety switch. i guess pow gets in there and it gets all nasty. i have a lefty and havent had any problems but it sure "feels" like something stupid like that.

I wouldn't run only a F/P reg. Where are you located? Kinda thinking its the pipe sensor in conjunction with a badly tuned fuel map. What are you hitting for peak rpm.

SW Wyoming ride in northern Utah. Elevation is at 9300'-9800' most of the time. I have tried the pipe sensor off of my M8 that has no problems and it didn't change anything. I talked to Racin Station yesterday and they said that they had a problem like this and they changed the stator and it fixed it. I swapped out my stator off of my M8 last night and did not change anything today. On to the next swap.

I believe I finally got the bog gone. I took off the SLP exhaust system and left the Attitude box on, set it to the stock settings and it did the same thing, bogged and gave me fits. Last night I decided to get ride of the attitude box and rode it today without a bog. Going to give it another good ride tomorow before victory is declared but it was nice ridding today.:whoo:

Does that mean you had the A box settings at 0. So it shouldn't have made a diff.

You thinking the box was causing the problem.

No I had the settings as they are described in the instructions for stock.
Green-1
Yellow-1.5
Red-1.5
Yellow/Blue-4.5
Red/Blue-7
The sled didn't run bad at all with stock exhaust and attitude box, until it started it's little bogging trick during the day about a hour into the ride.
Next day with no box and stock exhaust it never did bog. I will say when it runs good stock it is not even close to when it runs good with the pipe and box. But it is nice to not go over the hood then when it decides to let you down though.
I took the box off and have sent it in to have it checked out. Hopefully they find something.

whats weird is mine was doing the same thing but I have a pc and a bd box. Make a guy wonder if its not a combination of things going on. But the last few times out it hasn't bogged, but has now started studdering on top??? Hope its as easy as a box.
