M-10 suspension on M7?

Locally a guy is selling a M-10 suspension that came off a 04 King Cat. I have a stock '06 M7.

  • Will it fit on my '06 M7?
  • It has 156" rails, can I use my 153" rails or am I going to need to get another track?
  • Will it improve the overall ride? Pluses and minuses?
  • How much should I pay for it? I can provide more details later.

Thanks in advance for you help!

you will need to narrow the upper shaft s and spacers(different tunnel widths)
you will need a different track or shorter rails(we can help with the rails)
It will ride much better when properly set up(again, we can help!)
It will NOT allow quite as much weight transfer-how much depends heavily on how it is installed and set up, a plus on the hills but can be a hindrance on flat ground depending on how much power and traction you have.
what its worth depends on the shocks it has, any options installed and its age/condition...more details will help!

Great information!

Curt,

Thanks for the help!!! The "deal" is starting to get expensive. :)

The little I know about this skid is it's great for high hp sleds, which is NOT my M7 (Stock as can be!). I love the stock skid in the mountains, but it rides like a truck on the trails. I was hoping for a skid that can do both.

They can be set up to transfer well with less hp, I guess my point was if you want it to do big wheelies, it'll only happen when you are really vertical on a hill! They are designed to transfer only enough to get the track hooked up-the skis should hang about 6" above the snow under acceleration.
