LTS Mar. Snow Report

Rode LTS Sun, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Today.

Was heavy mashed potatoes up high but still fun UNTIL it rained last night.

The rain and subsequent freezing temps made for a two inch layer of crust-- not so much fun.

Also you had to drive further and further back each day. No snow at the Perazzo meadows turnoff at all.

Probably dirt bike time until we get more snow....

Ended up going out today since I haven't been out yet this season and a friend wanted to try out a new/used sled. Ended up parking at Weber Lake turnoff, and could ride mostly snow up towards Meadow Lake. Would be awesome if we get a nice storm. But, it was mostly very firm snow and had to ride the trail quite a while to get to good (this is relative to a bad snow year) coverage. Couldn't believe how little snow is at lower elevations. It was what I expected, so just appreciated being out on the snow and seeing white mountain tops.

Pray for snow!

Did not get out today but there were a lot of sleds up here. I will be riding tomorrow and we're out to find some hills to climb. The road 3/4 of a mile past Perarzzo Meadows is pavement. From there to Yuba the road is one lane with two way traffic. Good luck.

Trackman, good point on the road. I was wishing I had parked 3/4 mile past Perazzo, where the road turned to snow, it's kind of a funky drive from there to Weber. Don't try to drive a Suby in there, the road is clear at tires but about 12" under vehicle. Have fun out there.

We got 4" of new snow last night. We needed this to get up the Meadow Lake road. After the sun this weekend there was alot of dirt showing. We went up to Lola on Sat. and no tracks. I couldn't beleive it. We had a great day untill I drove off a cornice. Hope my back feels better by next weekend.

Nice spring riding!

Hi- thanks for the updates! Coming up this weekend to our cabin, wondering if we can drive our truck all the way in (cabin is Henness Pass Road, at Cold Stream, near Mt. Lola trailhead). We take the Perazzo Mdws turnoff and drive in- how does it look? Forest service said prob just muddy. thanks! Jim and Terry

Jim and Terry, You can drive in ok in your pickup, not much snow left where you are. We are just east of trackman at Coppins Meadow. We have a Tucker Sno Cat which we used one time in Dec. to go in. Rest of the winter we have been going in with our Pickup.

We road yesterday. It was great spring riding. We went to White Rock Lake and then back up to Lola. We had the whole place to ourselfs. The snow on Meadow lake road is going fast. Without more snow I think this will be the last weekend for riding. Good snow on top but you won't be able to get there.

Track man what's the 07 road like past your place? I drove in Saturday to Jackson meadows pretty easy, but coming back out was not fun. Has a lot of the snow melted this week? Thanks.

The 07 road is melted out to my house. Park and ride. We found some nice snow just a short distance form the house. Did some nice hill climbing and tree riding today. Going back on friday. I need some one to ride with. Who's In?
