Lost Lake Sat and Sun Jan 2 and 3

easy enuf to find think the road is actually Rough Drive, but there's a big wooden sign on the right says Firehouse.............Lost Lake..................just past Seward Baptist Church on the right, if ya pass the firehouse on the right............uh ya just passed it:rolleyes:

I'll be heading up Primrose, I've had enough trees for one season:(

lol..when you leave the parking lot..your supposed to pin it for 16 minutes...then your on top and loving life..coming down at the end of the day sucks though....tim can describe the easiest way to find firemans(I know where it is but not all the right signs/streets),:beer;:beer;

Haha, sounds about right. To get to the firehouse trailhead, take Scott road, stay left on the road, then take a right at the brown apartment buildings, there is a Lost lake trail sign on that road, follow it and park at the end.

LOL ok I'll bring extra pain pills just incase :) my friend from work will probably come with me, he knows where firemans is. He was telling me that it takes about ten minutes to get to the good riding from firemans. There will probably be about 6 of us if they can all make it. And hopefully we can use that cabin.

The cabin is booked for this weekend if you are talking about the FS cabin. There is a sign out on the highway now pointing right to the trailhead off the highway. It says "lost lake trailhead" It goes for a few blocks through a subdivision and on the back side of it is the parking lot. The last couple of streets gettinig up there are quit steep and can very VERY challenging getting up. If you happen to miss the turn, just past the turn into the subdivision is the Bear Creek fire station. The trail used to start right back there in the old days thus the trails name. Turn around at the firehouse if you missed the turn and come back to the first left.Once in the lot, the trail is obvious. And your freind is right, you can be in the good stuff in about 20 minutes.... or never make it at all!!! You will find out in the first few hundred yards off the trailer. The first hill is the biggest pain. Many days when it is raining, or there has been no fresh snow for a while, that hill becomes shear glare ice. There is a large tree with a bulleyes painted on it at the bottom of that hill. Below the bullseye, you will find alot of broke taillight pieces. Primrose may be an hour of bumps, but is sledom icy enough to give any major problems. The more traffic there is on Firemans, the worst it gets, and fast if people are spinning their way up the hills.

looks like good weather as well........:beer;:beer;:beer;

The firehouse trail should be left for those of us that want to ride, all others - trail riders, parking lot cowboys, show offs and idiots must use the other trails, and don't forget the snug harbor side. Their IS a fee to park at the firehouse trail. I'll be driving a white 83 Ford and will leave a window open,throw money inside .

Wait a minute my undersanding is that the Firehouse trail is for the guys with small

trailers. :D

My wife's sled is a short track, but my son or a realative from out of state will be riding that sled if we come down. The only trailer I have now is my portable lodge with attached garage so it's kind of long. It's nice when I go for a weekend because I always have a place to stay but it does limit where I can go.

Sleds still not dialed in, damn near froze to death trying to get my fuel right today -25f. F..it it's loaded up and we're headed south in the morning see ya'll there! :D

Everybody have a safe and happy New Year! :beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;

It does ok ;), kept hitting deto. Nobody has numbers yet for the 2010 update, so it's a guessing game, the starting numbers I was given weren't even close. But we'll get it fine tuned this weekend. :beer;

My seat finally showed up today:D I got a new style boss for my ol' edge to help get my old butt up in the air. If the zippers hold up, I am really going to like this seat. There is alot more storage room in it than I ever would have thought. I put most everything from my old seat trunk in it, and all the survival stuff out of my back pack in it and still have room left in it. Sure will feel nice on the knees at the end of a long weekend.
