Lost Lake Sat and Sun Jan 2 and 3

Stabbed a track at P-Ville last weekend. But I'll be ready for Saturday, gonna have a New Years Eve/Track Cutting Party on thursday and I have all day friday to get the Hawk together for A L.L. trip on saturday. Which trail Is the 4M group gonna take?

Good question cj... As much as I hate Primrose, I think that makes more sense with all the folks it looks like are going to show up. With no new snow for the next few days, I can see firemans being sheet ice! Anyone else got an opinion on this????

I'd rather primrose, I havn't tried the firehouse trail yet with the hawk and that first hill is kinda sketchy( especially coming down the ice shoot). But I'm in for what even. Primrose is a bump fest for sure, But its safer.

Bwahahaha, maybe the gf will make a showing. See all the fun she's missin out on:D

lol hell ya!

Never been there so I'll let you guys decide, but starting out erring on caution sounds good to me.

Absolutely, if mine makes it you have to try it though, we'll get you hooked on the HP only a 2ski can provide :D

If a couple more people offer to let me try their sleds I won't need to bring one at all ;)

icr, I hope you can get your sled up and running. We would love to see that thing run.

Great, gonna turn me into a boost addict too, I finally thought I found enough HP to make me happy and your gonna ruin it,LOL

Me too :D i'm getting my pipes ceramic coated right now...if they get done in time I'll throw it on the trailer and pick them up on the way. I'll bring it down there sometime this year either way.

It doesn't matter how many skis you have if they never touch.Mine's not boosted but it's no 800 either ;)
Some people will just never know

A suggestion

Set a time and place so that riders coming in from both sides can meet. Something like on Lost Lake at 11:00 AM?

For those of you that have not had the pleasure of riding from the Seward side I would suggest bringing along '30 of webbing or rope, it really makes getting a group of sleds through the slick areas at the bottom much more manageable.

I never leave home without it. But when I know Fireman's is going to be really bad, I often bring 100' of rope and a small snatch block to hook to a tree. Alot easier to pull DOWNHILL! Works great and can walk them right up.

I think your idea of meeting up top somewhere is a good idea. I am thinking 11:00 might be a little early however to be meeting in the middle. More like noon on the Seward end of Lost Lake itself. Those that come up Firemans are bound to play their way over, and it takes a while to get up Primrose as well.

I have only been to Lost Lake once that was last year. We went up the primrose trail it was bumpy as hell!!! How's the Seward side compared to primrose? My back was killing me by the time we got to the good riding. It seemed like the trail was never ending.

lol..when you leave the parking lot..your supposed to pin it for 16 minutes...then your on top and loving life..coming down at the end of the day sucks though....tim can describe the easiest way to find firemans(I know where it is but not all the right signs/streets),:beer;:beer;

LOL ok I'll bring extra pain pills just incase :) my friend from work will probably come with me, he knows where firemans is. He was telling me that it takes about ten minutes to get to the good riding from firemans. There will probably be about 6 of us if they can all make it. And hopefully we can use that cabin.
