Losing boost

I thought I had my 2010 se with the push turbo kit running well as I had only tested in moderate snow conditions. On the trail out of powder it hits 8lbs of boost easily and bounces off the rev limiter. While climbing in fresh powder it will hit 8lbs at first then rapidly lose boost and bring my rpms down to around 7800-7900 with boost around 2-3lbs. I think it's my clutching but I'm not sure as this is my first turbo sled. I'm using the clutching that came with the sled, which is stock weights fully loaded with steel rivets and stock primary sping. The secondary has a 45deg helix with the stock spring and stock wrap. I've installed an aem uego air/fuel gauge and I'm having a hard time with it as well as it reads full lean most of the time and intermitanly starts reading 12.5-13.5 so I can't trust it to help much. I'd appreciate anyones help on how to get it running better. A sidenote it still outclimbs my dad's new pro rmk running this poorly.

if your loosing boost and your AFR gauge is reading way lean, then im betting you have an exhaust leak,

if your loosing boost under load but not on the trail, thats a telltale sign of a messed up exhaust, and so is air leaking into your pipe and making your gauge read lean. start checking for cracks, etc on your pipe... others might have more insigt on where they crack.

I will check for exhaust leaks sounds like a feasable solution, just not sure such a drastic loss in boost could be caused by a leak.

my header flange was just marginally warped and barely leaked around the gasket.. just enough to leave some exhaust gas residue on it.. I could crank my boost controller and never get more then 9# in deep snow, had the flange machined so it seated right, I cranked the boost controller up like I was used to, it was shooting to 25+ and kept blowing boost hoses off.. trust me, it can do a LOT, it didnt seem like a big deal at all.

and the messed up afr readings make it seem exactly like that.

mine would shoot into the high teens like I wanted it to, then it would just keep loosing boost and RPM on a climb until I had to turn out.. if it was starting at 14-15 it would drop to like 8-9... so very similar to yours, and once it cant pull the clutching it just gets worse and worse as you go.
