Looses boost

My friend has a 12 1100t and has this problem for awhile it acts like it looses boost and just falls on it face . The dealer has added a fuel controller and has tried to by pass the waste gate or held it open . Sorry I am kind of vague on details . I am pretty sure it has been re flashed also .
Any ideas what it could be ?

A couple items...

Is it hitting the rev limiter? Does this happen on a full tank of fuel (possible smart valve problem)? Does it happen after repeated pulls (charge temps too high)? To obtain a better response, more info is needed.

Yes you are very vague.

Find out a couple things. If it is reflashed whos is it. When did the problem first arise? Does the machine have a boost gauge? How much boost is it making. I would put money on it that the ECU is seeing an issue and pulling way back. I have heard of one guy who had the fitting from the compressor side of the turbo to the wastegate fall out. This causes the wastegate to never open. Likely causing a huge amount of boost and maybe tripping a safety code. It has several ways of dropping the boost. One would be the solenoid that controls the wastegate another would be the stock boost releif valve.

I would never try to add a fuel controller to a sled that is having an issue to try to fix it.

Where are you located? Possibly could try someone else other than your dealer.

Based on the vauge details the first thing that comes to mind is fuel surge. He might need to switch the diaphragms on the smart valvew around. Depends on what he means by "fall on its face" though...

Thanks Guys . I just called the dealer mechanic to get some more info .
They have tried D&D and Evolutions flash- no change , changed all the inner cooling and turbo tubes ,checked engine valves, said they have tried everything they could think of . even the fuel valve as some one mentioned on here .Says it does not show any codes .
He said as soon as it starts to build boost it acts like it is fouling out and falls on its face .
I asked him if they checked the clutch spring he said no and thinks they are running slp spring what color he did not know .
He also made the comment he has never heard of one running good so I asked if he ever gets on SW . Guess what He dosn't it is hard to believe if you are into working on sleds you are not on here. There is a wealth of knowledge here .
Does cat have a diagnostic computer program like Poo has Digital wrench and if they do can you hook it up to the sled and take a ride and download to a laptop?

Yeah It sounds like maybe time for a different dealer. Wow. Never heard of one running good? Lol

x2

Just a shot out of left field but I would pull the plugs and check the gapping and gap them at .020
As Hillclimbpro mentioned, make sure that the plug gap is tightened to .020, as it is possible to be blowing out the flame... it somewhat sounds like you are hitting the rev limiter to me, be advised that the factory tach isn't the most accurate.
