looking into proclimb xf 1100 turbo sno pro high country ltd (from Nytro)

Hey guys right now i am running a nytro xtx it is clutched, full exhaust, slydog skis, 1 3/4 back country track, i absolutely love this led the low end on it is amazing nothing wrong with it at all but i want more hp and looked into a mcx for it and at 7500 not really what i want to spend that much more on it that i already have. my dad doesn't have a sled right now so he would buy it off me if i were to get a new sled.

I ride in manitoba fair bit of ditch banging and trail riding and love to go play in the "deep" stuff we get out here and hitting drifts. going out to valemount bc this weekend and taking the nytro may go one more time after this if all goes well and probably do that at least once or twice a year.

now i am looking into like title says pro climb xf1100 turbo sno pro high country ltd, talked to my dealer would do clutching exhaust and programming on it and would be set up for were i live and when i go to the mountains i would change the clutching on it.

i want to know if anyone went from a nytro to a xf1100 turbo and how they liked or disliked it how this sled handles on trail with the big track (yes i read some on this) and off should be a dream i find it really easy to boondock my nytro.

I rode a 1100turbo before but it didn't feel like i was going anywhere but the speedo is just going and going. didn't have the low end grunt that i like from my nytro.

There is no need of saying how the nytro sucks or w/e i love the nytro but looking into something different and with more power at a cheaper cost as long as it is just as reliable as the nytro is ie no belts blown.

I just bought the same sled you are looking at. Still have my Nytro with 190 MCX kit on it. The cat does ride a lot better than the Nytro. I do find the power comes on harder with the turbo on the Nytro. The cat is no slouch stock though, I'm sure if I ever turn it up it would be very similar to the Nytro. For the type of riding your doing around home, similar to me, the XF will be a great machine coming off a Nytro. With the XF you get more bang for your buck.

I have never ridden one but I'd imagine a 141 would be doing that sled an injustice, ie the spinning you experienced. Gotta put that power to the ground.
Would you consider a 153?

I don't need a 153 really but also the gearing is even shorter than the high country is already, my dealer will set it up for flat land and can change it when i go west. like and hate the idea of the 2 1/4 but could always change it out if i have too.

My 162 m1100t with a reflash and. 2.5 track will go well over 100mph in a stubble field in a heartbeat are u sure u need the extra top end gearing? I actually dont know how fast it will go because it just feels wrong. All things aside if your NA nytro felt like it had more bottom end then u were definately doing some spinning.

Oh my mistake, turbo11t on here has a 153 and he is always saying how much track speed his makes! Most are 162's. I think a high country is going to be a step up from your nytro in handling and power regardless of how well it hooks up!

ya i figure that but just worried more about how reliable it is i want to just fuel it up and drive the piss out of it and not worry like i do with the nytro.

Well only time will tell I know the Yamaha 3 cylinder engine is very reliable and they have good clutching. The cat motor is proven but to say that the clutching will be as reliable will be a stretch. I think most would tell you it's a pull the rope and go sled but to Yamaha standards I'm not sure.

I went from an full build Alpine Nytro to an M1100t. Handling wise whether at home in Saskatchewan or out west the cat is night and day difference compared to the Nytro. Power wise it wasn't close as my Nytro was putting out around 290hp and Cat with hijacker was only 220hp. I went with an Evo 215 reflash this year and its better than the hijacker. If I had the choice I'd stick with the Cat.

As discussed before in earlier threads an aftermarket kit should feel stronger than a stocker built by accountants. I can also tell you that an Evo 240 low elevation reflash will do more than keep up with 240hp Nitros and closer to a 270 in flatland. Difference is the Evo tune is a little over $600, not fair really.

Handling is as stated above. Way nicer.

Yeah mine does make crazy track speed with the 153. I went to a 156 camo extreme this year. Have yet to ride it. Though I will have $78 more hp this year over last. . I expect it to be even wilder track speeds.

A 141 would be wild for track speed. If your used to riding the shorter track you will be just fine, you will just have to learn to throttle accordlingly.

The thing that my 2 stroke buddies say when they ride my sled is how in situations they need full throttle they only need about half throttle on the 11t because the track speed is BAM right there! I would assume having ridden a nytro myself without a turbo that you would experience the same. It is a fairly simple learning curve though.

Went to cat today and talked to them, i would be putting on turbo dynamics and they said its all covered under warranty if anything it to happen to the sled, and i talked to them its about 500 to convert it to a 153 than i'd need the track which is a nice option to do for when i go to the mountains. price is a little steep but its going to cost me a little more for the cat than it is to turbo the yammi by the time its all ready to ride. still not sure what to do yet lots of money on this damn thing.

We are taking the shop guys to ride next week and are taking our '13 ltd HC. I think it will do pretty good. I seem to remember the HC gearing is the same as the M, the regular XF is different.

What Turbo Dynamics are you putting on it. I.E. exhaust, tune, what? You tune it and your warranty is gone regardless of what dealer tells you. Cat can read your ECU and then they know everything. Better talk to guys running that tune in the Mountains. Haven't heard any positives on riding a flatland tune in elevation. Talk to WKM he'll fill you in the tune you need.

will be a tune exhaust and clutching from turbo dynamics, stage 4. I just talked to them they said they will warranty it the same as cat will, i talked to a guy running big hp in the mountains and his dealership also warrantied his clutches.

If you haven't bought the tune yet I'd seriously give some consideration to the Evo reflashes. It's as simple as sending a pm on here to Just Boost It or madmax. The only company that has their numbers correct out west is Evo.

That guy must already have Evo products then 'cause they are the only ones with mountain specific tuning...and making big power there. There are many companies that can make power at sea level, they have yet to make that work at elevation. Not bashing, just facts. Factory turbo has enough air for around 215hp. Unless you change the turbo for the most part you are not making more than that, turbo doesn't have enough air. TD has a very good rep with the flat land guys but in the hills there is only one company that has had product out last winter.

Lots of info all summer on here. Just do your homework, and know what your expectations are.

The guy i had talked to had an aftermarket turbo on his sled he said that he was making over 300hp and you can't make more than 220 up there with the stock turbo.
