Thanks for the offer, we have a couple welders at work and a coworker was a certified welder in one of his former lives. He is going to come take a look at it tomorrow to see if he can do it on the sled or if it has to come out. Word on the street is you pretty much pull the engine to get at that steering post.
Hopefully I can get Polaris to do something as all the other IQs I rode with showed a toss up between properly welded posts and tack welded ones.
